Questions and Answers:

1.  What is the policy on the student's attendance?

Student teachers are expected to be in attendance every day for a full day. A student teacher’s daily arrival and departure times will be the same as those established for the school’s other faculty and staff. Only two absences are allowed. Any absences over two days must be made up at the end of the student teaching experience. Absences for personal matters are discouraged and must be approved in advance by the Unity College Supervisor. Student teachers are expected to have their personal matters in order before the student teaching experience begins. Attending professional development activities is not considered an absence. However, approval to attend such activities must be approved in advance by the Unity College Supervisor.
