Geology Minor

Geology is literally “the study of the earth”.  A Geology minor will prepare students with knowledge of earth materials and processes that have shaped the earth and its environment through time, while introducing students to inquiry methods used by geoscientists to work on environmental problems.

GL 1003 Physical Geology
GL 1013 Weather and Climate
GL 2003 Geology of Environmental Problems
GL 3433 Soil Science
GL 3044 Surface and Groundwater Hydrology

A minor program is a concentrated course of student in a given discipline or sub discipline, which includes 15-18 credit hours of study, comprise of at least 9 credits outside the student’s major program and other major or minor programs taken at Unity College, comprises of at least 6 credit hours taken in residence at Unity College, and has been approved by the faculty as a minor program.
