Wildlife Biology
CENTER for NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND PROTECTION

Wildlife Biology majors are spokespeople for birds, animals, plants, trees and the great outdoors. They love wildlife as well as working with the public. They are interested in the interaction between the landscape, animals and people.

Is this you?
Do you hunt but also bird watch? Do you firmly believe we must preserve and protect spaces for animals? Are you comfortable with books, journals, numbers and words? Do you like to write? Could you produce and deliver a report on the status of black bear population in Western Maine for a group of townspeople?

Are you an advocate for the environment and for promoting an understanding of natural resource management techniques and practices? Could you identify tracks in a half-mile radius of a lake?

If yes, a Wildlife Biology major is for you.
