Learning Resource Center

The Learning Resource Center (LRC) is Unity’s academic support center. The mission of the LRC is to provide the servicesLRC necessary for all enrolled students to meet their academic goals. Among the services available to beginning Unity students is the Student Academic Growth Experience (SAGE), a program in which participating students develop an individual relationship with a faculty or administrative mentor.

Located on the lower level of the Quimby Library, the LRC is staffed by a team of committed professionals, including five faculty members, and a dedicated group of Peer Tutors.

The specially trained Peer Tutors provide assistance in a wide variety of courses and disciplines, well into the evening hours and on weekends. A Peer Tutor Schedule showing each tutor’s course, expertise, and hours is published each semester. The operating hours of the LRC are Mon.-Thurs. 8am - 9pm, Fri. 8am-4pm, and Sat. & Sun. 11AM-4PM. The LRC is closed during all breaks.

LRC faculty provide instruction in fundamental writing and mathematics through credit-bearing developmental courses. These faculty also work with students enrolled in their courses individually and in small groups.

Specialized services for students with diagnosed learning differences are also offered through the Learning Resource Center.
