Windows XP Wireless Instructions 1. From the start menu, select control panel and select “Network and Internet Connections”

2. Choose Network Connections

3. In the left pane select "Create New Connection"

4. Click link "Wireless networks in range"
 5. Click "Change Advanced Settings"

6. Click the "Wireless Networks" tab and click Add towards the bottom.

7. Click the Association tab, type "Student" (be sure the first letter is capitalized) in the "SSID" field, choose "WPA" from "Network Authentication" , choose "TKIP" from "Data Encryption"

8. Click the Authentication. For "EAP type" choose "Protected EAP (PEAP)" and uncheck the two boxes below. Click the Properties box.

9. Uncheck the "Validate server certificate" checkbox, choose "Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2" under "Select Authentication Method" then click the configure button.

10. Uncheck the box next to "Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)."

11. Click OK to close the remaining open windows.
12. Your computer should now attempt to connect to the student wireless. At this point you should receive a prompt for credentials to access the network.

13. Enter your Unity College username, password and the word "campus" without quotes for the domain.
 14. Once connected you must register your PC and validate your antivirus status. To do this: A. Open a browser window and click start on the Unity College Network page. B. Fill in all boxes and click download. C. Save and then run the CSA.exe file. D. Follow the instructions based on the results of the CSA test. |
