NOVA Wilderness Orientation Program 

Nova trips are offered during six sessions leading up to the start of the semester.  The last session is open only to those students traveling from outside of New England.  New England states include Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.

Trips fill on a first-come, first-serve basis so it is important to send in your Nova health history and trip request forms as soon as possible.

Students who do not complete the program the summer prior to freshman year will be required to make it up during the winter break.  Students who believe they may not be able to complete the program in the summer must contact the NOVA Director in the summer to apply for a deferment or exemption.  There are only certain and limited types of situations that qualify a student for deferment or exemption.
