Tanglewood Camp – Classic Winter Sampler

Tanglewood is a 4-H environmental camp located in the beautiful foothills of Camden Hills State Park in Lincolnville, Maine.  The camp and its surroundings will serve as the grounds for this phenomenal winter experience.  We will be staying in rustic cabins that are heated by wood stoves.  Participants will spend one day learning how to cross country ski in the woods and cliffs surrounding the camp.  Another day will be spent learning the art of snow shoeing.  An experience not to be missed!

In addition, participants will learn basic winter camping and travel skills, how to prepare nutritious meals on a one-burner camp stove, and how to practice low impact camping techniques.  Students will also engage in a service project.
