Explore the largest lake in the Northeast!  Moosehead Lake is surrounded by scenic mountain ranges and forested wilderness, and scattered with islands, coves and peninsulas that make for a once-in-a-lifetime paddle trip.
The trip begins at Unity Pond where students will be given a full afternoon of instruction on and off the water to get them oriented to the kayaks and to learn self-rescue, paddling technique and how to manage kayaks in wind and waves.  We will depart for Moosehead Lake in the morning and will explore the northern regions of the lake as we paddle from camp to camp.  We will stop to explore remote islands and hike glorious Mt. Kineo.  Space is tight in the sea kayaks so careful observation of the packing list is a must!
