Bragg Scholarship
This academic achievement scholarship is for Maine students and is based on a 4.0 system. The following is a list of minimal GPA requirements for receiving this scholarship: Freshman-1.75 GPA for each term; Sophomore, Junior and Senior-2.0 for each term. The deadline is June 15. The Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund, was established to provide education assistance for postsecondary study to members of families impacted by events of September 11. Applicants must be dependent children or spouses of persons who were killed or are permanently disabled as a direct result of the terrorists attacks in the United States. Applicants may also be enrolled or planning to enroll in a course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States. This year the Bradford-Sullivan forest landowners association scholarship is again being presented to schools as part of an informal consortium of area organizations that have the common goal of encouraging higher education in natural resources, conservation, agriculture, waste management, and allied fields. MES
MES manages six scholarships for various organizations including one specifically for adults (with a January 31 deadline) and others have an April 7th deadline. The Maine Tradeswomen Network Scholarship, the Maine State Legislature Memorial Scholarship, and the Masonic Scholarship for Continuing Education, application materials can be obtained in the financial aid office. All applications can be filled out on-line and supplemental material mailed by the deadline to MES.
