“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.”
-William Butler Yeats

Here at Unity College, we value our partnerships with guidance counselors. Your role as advisor and mentor is crucial for the success of our students and college. We appreciate your efforts and hope you find this site useful in helping your students inquire, prepare, and apply to our unique institution.

The type of student we look for at Unity College, is the not the one carrying an empty pail, but one with a blinding inner fire. Our students are active, engaging and passionate. They seek not to be fed knowledge but to experience it first hand. They should be academically ready to face the challenges of a post secondary education and embrace the colleges’ commitment to the environment and natural resources.

Whether we’re visiting your high school or you’re here at Unity’s Annual High School Guidance Counselor Lobster Bake; our admissions counselors love the opportunity to talk about the benefits of a Unity College Education.
