Internships are a great way to experience a career prior to graduation. These volunteer internships are available for high school seniors and college students. Area opportunities may include Animal Care, Education, Horticulture and Veterinary Care (must be enrolled in Veterinary curriculum). After receiving more detailed information on the Zoo Internship program, an interview is set up during which the student's skill level and area of interest is identified. Students should check with their Guidance Counselor/Advisor to find out if credits may be earned while involved in the internship. Availability may be limited in some areas and spaces fill quickly each summer, so be sure to call (203) 330-604, early for further information.
