UIP Summary of Terms and Conditions 

Application Deadlines
The UIP plan is available on an annual basis only. Applications are accepted up to August 1 for the Fall and December 15 for the Spring. The applicant's account must be in good standing at the time of application.

Application Fee
Regardless of the amount you budget, the nonrefundable application fee is $50.00.

Cancellation and Refund
The College reserves the right to cancel a participant's enrollment in UIP in cases of repeated delinquencies. Participants may cancel their enrollment at any time by sending a written request to the Unity Installment Plan, Office of Student Accounts, Unity College, 90 Quaker Hill Rd., Unity, Maine 04988. Any refund due will be made in accordance with the College's normal refund policy.

Payment Terms
The plan covers an academic year and requires ten monthly payments beginning June 25 through March 25, If a decision is made after June to use this plan, all missed payments must be made to bring the account current to the time participation is initiated. Monthly payments are due on the twenty fifth of each month. Checks must be made payable to Unity College and must be accompanied by a payment coupon. Late payments are subject to a 1 1/2% late fee on the unpaid balance.

Periodic statements will be sent reflecting the actual amounts of charges and credits (payments and financial aid) as of closing dates. These statements permit the applicant to review the proper posting of charges incurred and credit of payments and financial aid funds. Any discrepancies should be investigated immediately and budget adjustments should be done when necessary. Regardless of the due dates on these statements, all UIP payments are due on the twenty fifth of the month.

Any charges remaining due on the statement will be billed each Semester in October month end and March month end. These amounts will be due separately and in addition to the regular monthly payments for those two months. Supplemental bills not paid within ten (10) days from billing may be subject to late fees.

Financial Aid
Expected funds from financial aid sources (scholarships, grants, loans,) may be deducted from total College expenses in determining the UIP budget.

Funds such as college work-study may not be included in the calculation since they are paid directly to the student.
