Maine Damselfly and Dragonfly Survey 

     The state of Maine is interested in the distribution, habitat relationships, and conservation of damselflies and dragonflies. People all over the state survey the number of damselflies and dragonflies that they see and submit their data to the official website. This information is used to form an understanding of the status, distribution, and habitats of dragonflies and damselflies.

     Students and faculty members have helped to contribute data to the survey. An example of the data that was given in 2001 can be found at the following link: http://mdds.umf.maine.edu/Lestidae01.htm The first entry in this list was contributed by Unity College students who participated in this survey during the Day of Service.
