You can find Jim either in the LRC or in the "back-40" (i.e., in the outdoor setting of Unity's rural campus).
In his LRC role, he teaches developmental writing and reading courses. In his wandering pedagogical practices, he teaches Comp I, Writing Creatively and A Sense of Place as a Write of Passage. This year he will teach two sections of the new General Education Core I course, entitled Perspectives in Nature, an interdisciplinary course comprised of mythology, science and other epistemological journeys.
Jim lives with his wife and cat in Freedom on 135 acres above Sandy (a.k.a. Freedom) Pond. He loves to travel, hike, backpack, run and cycle when he's not reading and writing. This summer he and Susan vacationed in the Pacific Northwest--and they have eyes of a walking trip in Eire or Scotland next summer. Two years ago, Jim spent a semester tramping in New Zealand.
