Trucks arrive for construction of Unity House UNITY — A tractor-trailer with pieces of a space-age house that produces more energy than it consumes arrived at Unity College in Unity shortly after 4 p.m., Monday, June 2.
The prototype for a new approach to single-family housing in the United States, called Unity House, is considered by designers to be an entirely new level of “green” home design. Experts working on the project estimate that it will take 20 days to assemble Unity House at its permanent location. It will serve as the home of Unity College President Mitchell Thomashow and his wife Cindy.
