Forest Service Regional Commander to Offer Presentation at Unity
College on October 23

Service Regional Patrol Commander Berneice
Anderson will offer a presentation at Unity College, Quimby Library,
11 a.m. on Monday, October 23. The presentation will focus on the
importance of hiring a diverse workforce. Anderson will relate her
experiences as an african
american female employed by the
United States Forest Service.
The event is free and open to the general public.
Anderson is a Regional Patrol Commander for Law Enforcement and
Investigations for the USDA Forest Service, Eastern Region. She
presently oversees the enforcement division for the Eastern Region,
which includes 20 states, 17 National Forests, and 50 federal
officers.
The event is co-sponsored by two Unity College student
organizations: WE Lead, which promotes the environmental career
aspirations of female students, and the Conservation Law Enforcement
Club.
Unity College is located at 90 Quaker Hill Road, Unity, Maine.
