Personal Gear

 

The items listed below should be brought on the day of the race.  The Unity College Equipment room has a limited number of the items with an * besides them to lend for length of the race.

Other Considerations

 

• Water Temperature- because of the potential for cold water in Maine, during the spring months; we ask that participants wear wet-suits if the combined air and water temperatures is below 120 degrees F.

 

• Weather Considerations- please pack and dress in accordance with the weather, bring rain gear and sunglasses/sunscreen depending on the weather.  Wear layers so that you are able to shed and layer according to the activity.

 

• Length of Race- since the race may take anywhere between 3-5 hours we recommend packing water and bringing snacks to keep with you during the race.
