UNITY (Oct 29): Since its founding in 1965, Unity College has maintained a close connection to outdoor sports. A large group of Unity College sportsmen participate each season to continue the tradition.

It is not uncommon to see Unity students bringing game back to campus and hosting wild game dinners.

By all accounts, the bow-hunting season is going well for the college sportsmen. Scott Winchester, a member of the class of 2009, took a sizable doe earlier this week in Unity with a bow and arrow.

The conservation law enforcement major from Auburn, Mass., planned to share the meat with his classmates who enjoy venison.
