Professor Doug Fox: Keeping an Eye on the Educational Focus of TerraHaus

     On Tuesday, July 5, Professor Doug Fox and Matt O'Malia, the award-winning architect of TerraHaus from GO Logic, were at the work site to discuss the project with WLBZ Channel 2 Reporter Max Cole.

     Fox focused on the educational aspects of the house, which requires students who live in TerraHaus to sign a contract pledging to participate public tours of the building and learn about its qualities.

     "We believe it is important for Unity College students to live sustainably as they learn about sustainability," Fox said. 

     A Unity College class taught by Fox participated in the actual design of TerraHaus, an unusual hands-on exercise and learning experience.  Fox edits a blog that outlines the progress of TerraHaus.
