Unity College to Host Earth Day Music Festival

Unity, Maine – April 5, 2011 --  Unity College will host an Earth Day music festival at the Unity College Centre for the Performing Arts, 4 Depot Street, Unity, on Saturday, April 16, from 3 p.m. – 11 p.m. The suggested donation is $15 for the general public, free for students.

    Slated to perform are Will Work for Food, a Unity College student folk group; North Star Sisters, Contra dance with caller John McIntire; Planet Pan Steel Drum Band; Ramblin’ Red, Portland based quartet playing Bluegrass / Folk / Indie; and Velourosaurus, playing Rock & Roll, R & B, Funk, and Blues all rolled into one.

     Unity College is a small private college in rural Maine that provides dedicated, engaged students with a liberal arts education which emphasizes the environment and natural resources.
