Jason Reynolds ‘06: A Carpenter Focused on Sustainability Some very familiar faces have been spotted at the TerraHaus job site on campus this summer. Several Unity College alumns are working on the project. Among them is Jason Reynolds ’06, a carpenter with Belfast based GO Logic, which designed TerraHaus in collaboration with Anne Kearsley of Portland-based Anne Kearsley Design and a class taught by Professor Doug Fox.
Reynolds has been working in carpentry for a decade and though he is working on TerraHaus for GO Logic, he is still running jbuilt, the carpentry business he founded in 2006. A jbuilt project that Reynolds is currently managing while also working on TerraHaus is the building of an addition at the home of Unity College Professor Chris Marshall in Montville. His degree from Unity College comes in handy every day. Though he is working as an entrepreneur and carpenter Reynolds uses the knowledge he gained by earning a degree in Ecology and Environmental Policy. His approach is decidedly sustainable, with material choices for building projects and overall project management being influenced by his knowledge of sustainability. |
