Activists From Unity College Bring Solar Panel To D.C.

Unity - Several environmentalists are headed to Washington with a recycled solar panel that was one on top of the White House. They are hoping to hint to President Obama to generate energy from the sun at his official home.

The trip will originate from Unity College, and is being led by activist Bill McKibben. The idea is to raise awareness of the potential of solar power to address global warming and create new industries.

The panel that is headed to D.C. is among those during the Jimmy Carter administration in the 1970's. The panels were ordered to be removed by President Regan.
