Unity College Spring 5K Road Race Slated for April 19

     The Unity College Spring 5K Road Race will be held on Saturday, April 19th.  This year will mark the 26th annual running of the event which takes place on the campus of Unity College.  The race is known as one of the fastest 5K’s in the state of Maine.  The course which starts from the Unity College gymnasium winds its way through the village of Unity.  Typically 75-100 runners and walkers participate in the event which is also co-sponsored by the Central Maine Striders running club.  Registration for the race starts at 8:00 A.M. in the College’s Activities Building.  The race will start at 9:30 A.M. with walkers starting at 9:15 A.M.  The registration fee is $10.  Prizes for various age groups will be awarded.
