Tardif gets award from Unity College

UNITY - Lewiston native Mark Tardif was recently awarded the Colleagues on a Mission Award from Unity College. He was one of several employees presented with the award, given for professional excellence in service to the college. The award was presented at a convocation of faculty and staff held in January.

Mark Tardif

A 1983 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School while it was in Lewiston, Tardif was awarded a bachelor of science degree in English from Northeastern University, where he was a member of the varsity rowing team. He holds master's degrees from Boston University and Thomas College.

Now in his fourth year at Unity College, Tardif has held teaching, administrative and coaching positions at Harvard University, Central Maine and Southern Maine Community Colleges, Bates College, Thomas College and St. Dominic Regional High School. He has also held journalism positions at publications in Massachusetts, Maine and the United Kingdom.

He is a member of the Maine Public Relations Council and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.
