Unity College fishing contest set for weekend

UNITY -- The 7th Annual Get Hooked on Unity Weekend, formerly known as the Unity College Fishing for Scholarships Tournament, will be held Friday through Sunday.
The weekend event culminates on Sunday in a fishing spree in which boating students try to snag scholarships -- floating in the water.

More than $180,000 in scholarships to Unity College, including one fish tagged for a four-year and another for a one-year scholarship with additional prizes, will be available during the fishing tournament at Unity Pond.

Tournament participants must be current or accepted and deposited incoming Unity College students, and be registered.

The award ceremony and farewell reception will take place at the gym on the Unity College campus from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m., 90 Quaker Hill Road.
