Unity College Students Display Art at Waterfall Arts Fallout Shelter Gallery in Belfast

Unity, Maine – December, 2008 – Long known for its strong environmental programs, Unity College is also home to a vibrant art community.

Intriguing and creative art by ten Unity College students is currently featured through February 20 at the Waterfall Arts Fallout Shelter Gallery, 256 High Street in Belfast, Maine.

Ben Potter, Associate Professor of Art at Unity College, noted that the works represent drawing and design created in the context of nature classes.

“These works of art have a special emphasis on addressing issues of global warming and climate change,” Potter explained.

The Unity College students exhibiting work are Ursula Balmer, Mike Church, Debbie King, Caleb Button, Alexandra Brown, Nick Record, Addie Annis, Tony Haeseler, Krista Newell and Jereme Burdick.
