Foley, a three-year soccer player and two-year chairman of the Student Judicial Board at UC, contacted retired Unity College Professor Dave Purdy with a request for soccer equipment for children in Zambia.

The request was forwarded to dean of student affairs and men's soccer coach Gary Zane who, along with other staff members, got the ball rolling.
