Chris Kein has been involved with Unity College athletics since 1998.  He started out providing Sports Medicine services, became the Women's Volleyball Coach in 2002 and is now the Athletic Director.  Chris' interest in athletics extends back to the late 1970's.  Through much of the 1980's he was one of the top distance runners in Maine.  After receiving his degree in Physical Therapy, Chris earned his certificate as a strength and conditioning specialst.  Throughout his Physical Therapy career he focused on the treatment of sports injuries and remained active in athletics.  He has coached baseball, basketball, field hockey, football, soccer and track and field.

Chris' interest in fitness and exercise brought him to the local YMCA where he started playing volleyball in 1999.  In 2002 he became the Unity College Women's Volleyball coach and in 2006 and 2007, he was named the YSCAA Women's Volleyball Coach of the year.

Chris lives in Unity with his wife, 2 daughters and dog.
