Kevin “Gus” Petrak has been coaching cross-country at Unity College since 2004.  He has also coached track & field at the high school level since 1999.  Coach Petrak began running as a child and achieved a high level of success in high school.  He competed in the Iowa state cross-country and track & field meets as a junior and senior.  He also competed in the 3200m at the Drake Relays in 1992.  In college, Gus ran cross-country and track & field for 3 years at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA.  He has continued running since college and has won the spring Unity College Road Race twice.  Gus lives in Unity with his wife, son, & daughter.
