External Affairs

Located in Constable Hall, the historic former home of founders Eddie and Florine Constable, The Office of External Affairs is the campus epicenter for envisioning Unity’s arc of development.  This arc is in service to the institutional goal of becoming a nationally recognized, leading-edge environmental college focused on sustainability science as the “what’s next” of higher education for 21st century ecological problem solving.  This office is committed to sustainability as a core focus of Unity’s identity, is strategically focused, entrepreneurial, addresses organizational change issues, and participates in financial and business planning, all within a framework of collaborative leadership.

Overseeing the departments of Development, Enrollment and Marketing, Dr. Melik Peter Khoury is the the Senior Vice President for External Affairs at Unity College. In this role, Dr. Khoury develops, supports and evaluates short, mid and long-term externally oriented strategic goals in service to Unity College’s environmental mission. The SVPEA is a senior leader who works closely with the President, senior administrators, faculty, staff, students, trustees, alumni and other external constituents.  A major focus of The Office of External Affairs is the alignment of these groups to leverage human and financial resources to advance the mission of the College and reach its strategic objectives.  Dr. Khoury plays a key role in the outreach of external relations and contributes an important voice in determining the best practices for revenue generation.
