How To: 

hand pointer   Use the new consortial online catalog, Minerva:

Keep your campus ID card handy . . .

  • Log onto the Minerva catalog 
  • On the drop-down menu, choose whether you want to search by author , title , subject , or keyword 
  • Enter your search terms ( author is last name first ) 
  • From the pull-down list under Select Library, choose Unity College and select Go 
  • If we have items that meet your search criteria, you will see a list; here you may click on the link for a specific title to find out more about it 
  • When you find the record for an item you want, write down the call number and get it from the stacks (ask for help if you need it)
  • If you don't find what you're looking for in our collection, you may expand your search to All Minerva Libraries 
  • If you see an item you'd like us to order for you interlibrary loan, inside that item record, click on Request 
  • Enter your name, your barcode number from the back of your library card, and click Submit 
  • If you don't find what you want in Minerva , you may look at other libraries by clicking on Search MaineCat
  • If you find what you need in MaineCat, please use our ILL request form

Select from the drop-down "Format" menu, located toward the lower left-hand corner of the screen before entering your search.
