Degrees at Unity College are offered through five Centers for Academic Excellence, which represent areas of focus that organize majors into related groups. This organizational structure helps faculty collaborate and share knowledge and resources, and makes it easy for students to connect with faculty and other students in related programs.
Loss of biodiversity affects our food sources, our medicines, our ability to combat disease, our raw materials for industry, and our overall sense of being. Programs within the Center for Biodiversity focus on the study and preservation of biodiversity in all types of habitats—marine, terrestrial, and freshwater. We prepare students to effectively address issues of biodiversity by providing essential scientific knowledge of the physical and life sciences.
Capturing the attention of the public through strong and effective art and writing can transform the world. Our students are the writers and artists who hold a vision of what could be. They are committed to deep reading, thoughtful writing, visionary artistry, and creative imagination, allowing them to play an essential role in shaping the future of the planet.
We believe that learning happens most powerfully when people are deeply involved with the natural world, their communities, and one another. Programs within the Center for Experiential and Environmental Education provide students with the tools for professional practice as engaged and environmentally aware experiential educators.
