Types of Aid
A college education is one of the largest financial commitments a person can make. Unity recognizes this and offers an aid package based on an individual student’s need.
The following are types of aid that may make up a student’s financial aid package:
- Grants. Grants do not require repayment.
- Scholarships. Includes both Unity College scholarships and private scholarships, including those specifically for Maine residents. Scholarships may have specific academic requirements, and generally do not require repayment.
- Loans. Loans require repayment.
- Federal Work-Study. Part-time, on-campus employment to help students finance the costs of their education.
