Q: How do I get to Unity College and what is nearby?
A: Unity College is in the middle of everywhere. There are three major airports nearby--Portland (PWM), Bangor (BGR) and Augusta (AUG)--which offer easy access to campus. International airports Boston (BOS) and Manchester (MHT) are also options. Unity College is surrounded by nature and several major metropolitan areas are just a few hours away.
Q. Is Unity College fully accredited?
A: Unity College is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
Q: What are the application deadlines?
A: International students are encouraged to apply at least 60 days before classes begin so that there is sufficient time to obtain a student visa.
Q: As an international student, can I receive transfer credit for my previous university-level work?
A: On a case-by-case basis, you may receive transfer credit for the courses you have completed. Use of a third party credit evaluation service will be required if credits are from a non US college or university. Q: Do you offer financial aid for international students?
A: Yes, Unity College offers qualified international students a generous financial aid package with up to a 50% tuition waiver.
Q: When must my tuition be paid?
A: Payment of tuition, fees, and room/board is due to the Business Office on the date indicated on the student's bill. Additional payment options are available.
Q: What documents do I need to apply for admission?

Q: Is there an interview process?
A: Unity College reserves the right to request a Skype interview for any international student during the admissions process.
Q: What is the minimum TOEFL requirement for an international applicant?
A: Official test scores are required of all international applicants whose first language is not English. The minimum TOEFL score required is 550 for the paper test or 80 for the internet-based version. IELTS may be substituted at a minimum score of 6.5.

A: Unity College is on a two semester (fall and spring) academic calendar.
Q: Will I be able to study English as a Second Language (ESL) at Unity?
A: English as a Second Language is not offered at Unity College, however we have a Learning Resource Center which provides free tutoring services.
Q: Do I need medical insurance? If so, how can I obtain insurance and how much does it cost?
A: All International students are required to provide proof of health insurance that covers them while in the US. Students can purchase health insurance through Unity College. (Rate for 2013/14 is $998.00 per year).
Q: What is the housing for international students and how do I find a roommate?
A: Admitted students will receive information via email how to sign up for housing including information on roommates. Please note that international students are required to live on campus in order to receive any financial assistance.
