Unity College's unique location makes environmental experiential learning easy and is a great jumping off point for outdoor activities. We are in the middle of three climate zones, providing our students with a unique location for doing original research.

Bob Eldridge attended the 25th anniversary of the YWCA Rachel Justice Awards. He received that award in 1992.  He is retired from teaching at Sewickley Academy in PA.
Al Ghene is still working part time at the Rochester Country Club as a Cook doing carving, pasta station and prep work.  In the summer Al works Security at St. John Fisher College. He still keeps in touch with Jerry Harding (‘70).
Tom Goodspeed retired as Home Horticulture Coordinator for the University of Maine Extension in October 2014.
David and Peggy (Kelleher ‘71) Lary are enjoying retirement at their farm where they’ve lived for 44 years.  Their grandson Tristan is a freshman at Unity.
Tom Skolfield is serving his second term in the Maine State Legislature on the Joint Standing Committee of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.  He had retired after 25 years in the State Park Service.  He and Gordeen have four children and eight grandchildren.
Jack Weinstein gets together with Jerry Rascoll (‘70), Charlie Miranda (‘70), and Tony Lambert (‘71) in Florida each winter and at the Catskills in the summer to go to Woodstock concerts.  Jack and Phyllis will celebrate their 40th anniversary in October. Their daughter graduates from West Virginia University in May.


Renee (Cheney) Harrison is retired from her job at the San Antonio University Hospital and is in the process of building a home in the Texas Hill Country.
Bill Childs is still Engineering Manager at Scott Electrokrafts, but has cut back to three days a week in preparation for retirement this winter.  Diane owns a daycare company and a preschool and plans to work for a few more years.
Linda-Jo (Ferris) Andrews retired two years ago after 42 years as RN, and the last 27 as a School Nurse.  Her husband is a retired teacher and they both substitute in the local schools.
Tom Maines was selected to be inducted into the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame in August.  He was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009.


Jim Cirillo is enjoying life in Sun City Center, a gated community in Sun City, FL.  His cancer is in remission.
Lonnie Henderson is retired and writing music and playing in bands.
Gene Holm is a retired computer programmer.  Last spring he took a five month trip to national parks - Alaska, Hawaii and Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Yellowststone, San Juan Islands and upper Michigan Finger Lakes.
Rick James has retired from elementary school teaching and is now living in Greeley, CO.  He is still working with Baha’i youth, and also in his woodshop.  Ada is still doing her artwork. One son is a Horticulturist in Greeley and the other is in IL and has three children.
Ted Webb is still Deputy Director for Intelligence and Security for the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum.  He is considering retirement and hopes that he and Debbie can spend more time at their house in West Forks.  They have three children and five grandchildren, the oldest a senior in high school.


David Denbow is a Catholic Deacon who ministers to a cluster that covers 4000 square miles, with four worship sites and two parishes.  He and Teresa have five grandchildren.
Vicki (Duguay) Goodwin is enjoying her retirement and her three grandsons.  Steve is still working at Nichols in Portland. He ski races and plays hockey.
Pam (Lizotte) Gauthier is retired and she and her husband spend winters in central Florida horse country and race horses with their daughter.  They begin the season at Scarborough Downs in March.
Liz McMahon retired in June after 30 years as a Middle School Librarian in Oakland.  She works a few days a week as a Historic Interpreter at Old Fort Western and three afternoons a week at the Gardiner Public Library.
Tim Mullins has retired from his position as WRC Manager for the City of Atlanta.  His daughter just graduated from the University of Georgia.
Bob Portner has a new job as Senior Business Development Manager for BusinessWatch Network.
Toni (Sampson) Johnson is enjoying her retirement and is hoping to bring her granddaughter Destiny to Maine to visit the College.
Steve Silver is working part time as a Project Manager for a large construction company.  He keeps in touch with classmates Bob Portner (‘73) and Steve and Michelle (Mariotti) Bajardi (‘73).


Hedy (Page) Blauvelt has her own massage therapy practice, and also works for Slocum Chiropractic in Brunswick and for Richmond Family Chiropractic in Richmond.  She and Francis Piechowski were married January 17, 2015.


Stuart Hess has retired from his job at Roger Williams Medical Center.
Jack Krumm is United Kingdom’s Program Manager and an Operations Research Analyst for the US Department of Transportation Volpe Center.
Carmen Morselli owns Hair Styles by Sorrell Inc. in Roslyn, NY.


Peter Donle is semi-retired and is building a solar electric home on land farmed by his ancestors in Parsonsfield.
Donna (Gray) McGee is a Long Term Care Coordinator in a managed Medicaid company. Dale (‘72) is still a Psychotherapist for the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs.  They are enjoying all their grandchildren and still riding the motorcycle.
Mike Leighton is a Maine State Parks Regional Manager.  He has four grandchildren with identical twins due in March.


John Amato is retired from Nevada Casinos and has moved to Oregon.
Alan Button is still working on shell midden research on the Maine coast.
Jean (Day) McCarthy has moved from Florida to Michigan with Mark Mazak. She runs her own business SendOutCards, and he runs a maple sugar business.
Paul Govoni is Vice President Sales & Marketing at Hyro-Klean in Des Moines, IA.  He and Sheila have two children:  Dan who is completing his PhD research in Iceland where his wife has a position at the University of the Westfjords. Elizabeth is married and lives in Texas.  Paul and Sheila have three grandchildren.
Bob Garabedian and Lucas Bellanceau (‘13) co-coordinated the Unity College Warden Camp for the second year.  It is a one week residential program for young adults ages 16-19 to see what it would be like to be a Game Warden or Environmental Conservation Officer.  Bob is a retired US Fish & Wildlife Special Agent.
Teresa (Slaiby) Allen is Membership Manager for Girl Scouts of CT.  She has a granddaughter and a grandson. Teresa gets together every year with Jane (Abramski) Andersen, Lucy (Matteo) James (‘77) and Fritzi (Johnson) Bolles (‘74).
Jacqui (Voss) Stegmaier is a Medical Assistant at Yampa Valley Medical Associates in Steamboat Springs, CO.  Both of their children are living in New York City.


Steven Brown is a US Fish & Wildlife Park Ranger in RI.
David Care is retiring from FedEx soon and they will be moving back to Maine.  They have bought a house in Limerick.
Robert “Beau” Doherty is still President of Special Olympics Conn., and was just elected to the North American Leadership Council for Special Olympics.
Marcia Johansson is a Nurse for the Veterans Administration.
Scott McIntyre is still running McIntyre Builders in Hope and Susan runs the office.  They have two children, a two-year-old grandson and are expecting two more grandchildren this spring.
Eleanor Nettleton is a Key Presser for a Pipe Organ Service - going to churches around New England tuning pipe organs.  She is also a Massage Therapist.  She and Art Oxnard will be celebrating their 36th anniversary this year.  Their daughter Moriah, an APRN, is married.  Eleanor had a short visit with Sybil Blazej-Yee (‘79) this past year.
Rachel Sue (Roger) Schoen (‘78) is a Cook at Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott in Raleigh, NC.


Stephen Bright has retired from his position as Librarian at the Cornell University Medical School Library.
David Burke is the author of a book, “Return of Founding Fathers Guardians” and he gave a copy to Quimby Library.  He works for Consumers Energy in Michigan.
Ellen Cook-Kinsella is a seasonal Park Ranger at Groton State Forest and Steve Desroches (‘79) is still a Printer.  They had a visit from Ken Parr (‘77) and Phil Pouech (‘79)  hosted them for dinner.
Laura (Cowan) McKenna is in her thirtieth year as a Research Specialist at East Carolina University, and Sean (‘82) has retired as a NC Fisheries Biologist.  Their daughter Sarah was married in August on the Pamlico River where Laura works.
Peter Leishman was elected to his ninth term in the New Hampshire Legislature where he serves on the Finance committee.  He still runs the Milford-Bennington Railroad.
Judy Lindsey teaches English as a Foreign Language in Distant Learning.  In May, she and her daughter Adrienne hiked the 110 mile West Highland Way in six days.  It runs from Milngavia, north of Glasgow to Fort William in the Scottish Highlands.
Scott Ramsay retired after 38 years as Director of Maine State Parks-Off Road Vehicle Division.
Charlie Reade still works part time for Hurricane Island Outward Bound and also manages several properties.  He and Patty are moving from North Yarmouth to Scarborough this spring.
Fred Trasko has retired after 38 years in the Maine Atlantic Salmon Program.  Cricky still has five or six years to go.  Son Jordan is 26 and a Chemist in New York and daughter Kaylie is 22 and a Radiological Technician in Florida. 


Sandra (Chapman) Koury has been accepted into the VA Equine Artists Association and her work was chosen for a juried exhibition, one of 38 artists from across the country.  She also has a website Wild Horse Art.  Phil (‘79) is a Police Officer with VA Marine Resources.
Rick French’s travels were riding horses across Mongolia with Mac McInnes, building houses for unwed mothers in Tanzania, meeting the Dalai Lama in Tibet and this January he is headed to Antarctica to sea kayak. 
Kathy (Higgins) Doolan is in her 28th year with the NH Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.  She has six grandchildren.
Franz Holzmann is a Third Assistant Engineer in the Military Sealift Command and goes all over the world on a joint high speed vessel.
Alan Przybylski went to the wedding of Bill Demur’s (‘80) son and had a great visit with Bill and Cyndie.  Alan and Lynda were off to their annual trip to their villa on the Amalfi coast in September. He is still Director of Global Sourcing for Hartford Technologies.
Steve Puibello is Space Rentals and Sales Manager at New York Open Center.
John Thorn’s four daughters are all married and he had his first grandchild in Nov. 2016.  He is a Senior Quality Engineer at Micro and will be traveling to South Korea and Singapore on a business trip in May.
Mark Wellington is Owner-Operator of Wellington Transportation.


Vicki (Brown) Kupferman ‘s daughter Caitlin is in Grad School at the University of Idaho, and they visited Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devils Tower and Custer State Park on their trip from Maine to Idaho.
Bill Cremin is still restoring old houses, and he and his son Liam recently bought a house built in 1700 to renovate.  His farm now includes 4 cows, 7 sheep, 3 pigs, a couple hundred chickens and 2 acres of vegetables.
Stephen Goulette has a new job as Production Supervisor at a yogurt plant in North Lawrence, NY. Terry (Rustic) (‘81) is working in the garden center at the local Lowes.  Their move puts them much closer to their children and grandchildren.
Bill Hazen is the Publisher of a local magazine, where he can use his photography after he lost his job at Life Touch in a big downsizing. 
Myrna Raven is Treasurer, Registrar and Deputy Tax Collector for the town of Knox.
Karin Sousa-Racicot is a Medical Transcriptionist for North Country Surgical Associates.  She also does medical coding.
Dan Spinner works for Integrated Systems Corp.  He owns three race horses and a second house in Saratoga Springs. 
Kevin Ward is Senior Associate at Hazen & Sawyer Engineering, and Andrea is showing his art at shows in NJ and online.  Son Matthew is a sophomore at Temple and daughter Olivia will be a freshman in high school this fall.


Neal Anderson has retired after 34 1/2 years with the US Postal Service.
Brenda (Berry) DiMatteo’s husband of 31 years is doing well after receiving a lung transplant for his terminal Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis a year ago. 
Michael Billiel is in his 30th year as a Police Officer for the University of Massachusetts.  He was in the narcotics unit, but now rides a Harley Davidson on the traffic unit.  He was divorced, but remarried to Lisa in 2015.
Beth (NeHalsingh) Freiberger is a Pediatric Emergency and Neonatal ICU RN at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and she also has a home business, Network Marketing.  Her husband Danny has retired as a Police Officer, son Christopher 24 has a degree in Video Games Design, daughter Marissa 21 is working on a Vet Tech degree, and Lee 17 is a senior in high school and takes helicopter lessons.
Roland Perry has retired as Director and Golf Pro at the Mars Hill Country Club and is living in Arizona.  He plans to spend summers in Maine doing his magic show and giving golf lessons.  His cancer is slowing him down, but not enough to stop his enjoyment of life.
Mike Roosa has retired from Real Estate. He is recovering from complications after robotic surgery for prostate cancer.
Norm Whitcomb is a Mime Juggler and a Sales Associate at Lowes.


Jim Bellinghiri’s wife Janine opened her PT Clinic in November after months of gutting and renovating.  Jim is still a VT State Fish Culturist.  Son Max is a senior in high school planning on attending welding school in the fall and son Cody is a freshman in high school and plays soccer.
Matt Bourgault is fulltime into Campus Evangelism with the Consuming Fire Campus Ministries.  He and Sonya have eight children.
Dennis Downer is a UPS Supervisor and he and Lisa have four daughters. Their youngest is a freshman at Eastern Conn. State University.
Robyn (Fillmore) Graham is still a Pharmacist for CVS in Lenox, MA.  She and Tim just returned from a trip to Cuba.  Their younger son Connor age 21 was killed in a car accident in August, 2014.
Hollis Graham is a Counselor at a psychiatric hospital, leads therapy groups and is in charge of outdoor recreational programing.  He also did his first two triathlons last summer.  Anne is Dean of Arts and Sciences at Springfield College, son Lucas is a freshman at Skidmore, and daughter Emily just finished a double Masters in history and library science at Simmons.  Hollis often gets together with Bill Hazen (‘81).
Jeremy Johnson has retired from his law enforcement position.
Ken Jones is founder and principal consultant of “Solutions for Safety”.  His children are all grown and he and Joanie are planning to travel.
Amy Kesten and Randy “Headly” Ruehl (‘82) were married December 10, 2016 in Alaska.  Randy owns Rainforest Renovations and Amy retired from the Juneau school system and now is a Secondary Transition Guide for SERRC, Alaska’s Educational Resource Center.  They also run Rainforest Room Rentals and B&B.


Lise Birch-Wooldridge has a new job as a Medical Secretary to several doctors at the Littleton Hospital.
Robin (Clark) Thomas works for an educational and environmental non-profit called Whidbey Watershed Stewards who have been fighting a coal shipping terminal in Bellingham.
Jackie (Kennedy) Byrne is a Care-Coordinator at a home for adolescent girls.  Daughter Sophia is a sophomore at the University of Conn.
Roy Kitchener is now a US Navy Rear Admiral, the Commander of Expeditionary Strike Group Two in Norfolk, VA.  His youngest son starts college next year.
Michael Lawler is a Field Supervisor at Design Floors.  He has three sons: Andrew 25 who graduated from Monmouth University, Robert 21 is working on a Masters in Accounting Finance at Desales University and Matthew 19 at a County College.


Mark Amato is a certified Forearms Instructor with MSA Tactical and also instructs in the US and overseas for security companies providing worldwide protection services.  He and Rachael moved to Virginia last year.  Four of their five children are in college.
Cathy (Docktor) Wolfe is a Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Danbury Hospital.  Daughter Clara is a junior at the University of Rochester and Cathy and Dave visited her when she had a research internship in Germany last May.  Son Ed will be a sophomore at the University of Maine this fall.
JoAnn (Hall) Meyer will receive her masters in Early Childhood Education in May 2017.  She teaches kindergarten in Farmington.  She and Andy are celebrating their 30th anniversary in May and they became grandparents last October.
John Jurczynski is in his 27th year running Rockywold-Deephaven Camps.  He was half of the top tandem team in the Race Across America, and hope to do it again in 2017.


Mike Andrews is Assistant Fish Culture Supervisor at the Dry Mills State Fish Hatchery.  It’s his 28th year with Maine Fish & Wildlife Hatchery Division.
Tony Cocchiola is second shift Supervisor at Pacific Metals Engineering Solutions.
Tracey (Coffin) Mattson received the Patriot Award from the Department of Defense for the Military Resource Center at Radford University which she created.  She is also Director of the Learning Resource Center.
Pat Emig is job hunting, keeps busy with her duties as a trustee of a private club.  She is having a knee replacement in December.
Rich Etchberger, Carnegie Professor of Wildlife Resources at Utah State University, has been named Vice Provost for the University.  He was Utah Professor of the year in 2015.
Hank Gascoyne has retired from his job as Special Education Day Treatment at Mt. View High School.
Karen (House) Appleton is an RN on the post-surgical care unit at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and also does Rehab at Mt. Ascutney Hospital.  David is still running his tree business.  This past spring Sarah graduated from Univ. of Rhode Island with a degree in animal science and Lindsay graduated from high school and is taking a year off before college.
Kim McKenzie is working on Muncie, IN’s Historical Preservation Commission doing architectural assessments of every building.  She also volunteers for a LGBT youth group, a racial justice group, and the Audubon Society.
Cheryl Salvati runs her animal rescue service, Rompin Paws Rescue in Arlington, WA.
Dianna (Super-Mazolf) Johnson and Dave were married June 25, 2016.  She is a Counselor at an alternative high school.  Daughter Brooke is a freshman in college and son Jake is a sophomore in high school.
Tim Shaak just celebrated 25 years as an EMT volunteering with Brielle (NJ) EMS, the last five as Captain of the Squad.  He is serving his 16th year as a Councilman.  He also sells real estate for Folk Agency.


Merlin Benner is President and owner of Wildlife Specialists and also owner of Remote Intelligence.  He is incorporating his drone technology from Remote Intelligence in their wildlife and plant surveys.  He and Melissa had a vacation in Alaska last summer.
Kathy Dixon-Wallace teaches middle school science in Milo.  Both boys are in college - Kineo is a senior at Florida Institute of Technology, majoring in Aerospace Engineering and Telos is a freshman at University of Maine.  Kathy is still hiking and did the John Muir Trail in CA last summer.  She has had several hikes last summer with Jeff Davenport (‘87) in NH, VT and Maine.
Mark Ramela is still Project Director at ATI Development in Pittsburgh. He keeps in touch with Merlin Benner (‘87).
David Shoemaker has retired as a Lieutenant in the Army Medical Service, and he and Nancy have moved to Portland.


JD Beauregard is doing high-end carpentry and living on a 52 acre farm in Mattapoisett, MA.  He even has a horse!  Jade is 11.
Kerrin Dame was promoted to Supervisory Physical Scientist at the US Army Chemical Biological Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground.  Daughter Erin is a junior in high school on the volleyball team.
John Letendre is Manager at Maaco Auto Painting and Bodyworks.  He and Heather just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.
Cheri (Phillips) Domina is Executive Director of the Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust and Chris (‘89) is Hatchery Manager at the Craig Brook National Fish Hatchery in Orland.  Daughter Lucie is at Southern Maine Community College and Lizzie is 14.
Al Weinberg is founder and CEO of Frontline Specialists who facilitate workshops, training, and events for businesses and municipalities.


Brian Adams and Lois were married in June 2016, and are living in Glenburn.  Brian is still a Sales Representative for Pfizer and won their top sales award two years in a row.   Keith is a senior and Sean is a junior at John Baptist High School and both are soccer players.
Marian (Alberici) Adams teaches part time at the YMCA and David is an Arborist, training in Sales for Bartlett Trees.  Their daughter Jessica is 14, in eighth grade and playing soccer.
Melinda Angstrom is transitioning into field or remote staff for Guiding Eyes.  She will be moving to Louisville so she can reach graduates in the mid-west and west coast.
Chris Feairheller has worked in the Quality department of Old Town Canoe for ten years.
Theresa (Lane) Forino is unable to work fulltime as an EMT and Search & Rescue due to a disability.  She is a volunteer Safety Officer doing home inspections.  She also helps with cat rescues and has four of them herself.  She also has birds, a pair of Green Napped Rambow Lorikeet which she’s had for sixteen years.
Penni (Pushor) Porter teaches pre-K in Clinton for KVCAP.   Daughter Kaytlyn is in her fourth year at UMaine at Machias and is engaged and daughter Krysta started at Thomas College this past fall.
Dave and Dee Rzewnicki’s son Brad is a senior in high school and a state finalist in swimming.  The family vacationed in Hawaii and they all did the Big Island International Half Marathon and Brad won.  Dave is still an Oregon State Police Officer in the Fish and Wildlife Unit.
Tatshuiro “Sho” Shojima’s son Gyo is on UCLA’s football team and is the first Japanese born to play in a FBS College Football game.  Sho is President and CEO of his internet technology consulting company in California.
Melissa (Graves) Sikes is Natural Resource Education Specialist for the Fairbanks Soil and Water Conservation District, State Coordinator for Agriculture in the Classroom Project and a member of the Alaska Food Policy Council Governing Board.  Kaley is 25 and Amelia and Nina are 23.


Alan Baldwin’s company, Eventa Design and Production Group now has offices in New York, Miami and Los Angeles, so he travels a lot more.
Shawn Blanchette works for a mechanical logging outfit based in Cornish.  He is married to his high school girlfriend, Ali.
Jim Dehner is Director of Accreditation at Southern New Hampshire University and teaches at the graduate level.  He is working on a DEd at Northeastern.
Rick Dubois is now a Corrections Officer at the York County Jail.  His son Alex is a senior in high school who plays football and track and daughter Chloe is a freshman in high school, plays field hockey and has won national dancing competitions.  Both children shoot rifles competitively both at the state and national levels.
Mark Genaris is Senior Scientist in the Engineering Department of Lohmann Animal Health, now Eli Lily.
Chris Gerquest has a new job with Gagne Foods in the Bath area and he and Heather (Lindquist (‘92)) moved from Bangor to Camden.  She had a knee replacement last June and makes gnome and fairy houses.  Service dog Rosie is 10.
Eric Harms has a new job as a Security Officer at Colby College. 
Tom Hughes is starting his 25th year of his landscaping business.  He and Faith have a daughter Ashley who has a Masters in Social Work from Rutgers and is working in her field.
Phil (Kim) Perhamus is Senior Biologist at Amec Foster Wheeler in Somerset, NJ specializing in wetlands and permitting.  Daughter Gretchen is a Researcher for INMH in DC, Brian is a high school senior and a drum major, and Andrew is a middle school soccer addict.
Enda (McCarty) Pierce left her job as a social service worker in February 2015 and moved the whole family to Ireland for 1 1/2 years.  Anna and Caleb were 8 and 11 and got to travel to 8 different countries and even learned Gaelic.  Enda and Timothy were married in Ireland March 4, 2016.  They are now back in Oregon.
Erick Ponkala got a BS in Accounting from Liberty University and is a Lead Project Management Specialist at GE.  He is married and has a thirteen year old son.
Rob Porter is now in PA with his new wife Barb and working at Karch Auto.  His son Josh is at Great Bay Community College in NH and daughter Alexa is a sophomore at Penn State.  Rob is finishing up his treatment for colon cancer which was discovered in 2016.
Stephen Ricker is teaching adult education programs in native plants, tree id, pollinators etc. at Westchester Community College. He is Director of Conservation and Wildlife Management at Westmoreland Sanctuary in Mount Kisco, NY.
Toni (Sapio) Whitney is an Environmental Scientist at T&M Associates assisting engineers with development permits.  She recently started working on projects in Camden, NJ.  She works with Pat Guilmette (‘92), had a visit with Jean Santarsiero (‘90), last fall and keeps in contact with Phil Kim-Perhamus (‘90).
Andy Wendell released his full-length CD “Songs for Horses” with performances by Andy and Annie and others.  He and Annie still have their “General Store Variety Show” on radio.


Chris Borg is working on his Teacher certification through NH Tech and is interning teaching general biology at Hopkinton High School in Contoocook, NH.  This past summer he finished climbing all forty-eight 4,000 foot peaks in the White Mountains - it took him a little less than a year to do all of them.
Jerry Brothers retired three years ago as a CT Corrections Officer and is now working as a laborer for CT Colonial Builders.
Bryan and Ann Chikotas’s daughter Elizabeth recently won her fourth consecutive league cross country championship, and will compete in district and state meets.  After that it’s the Northeast Regionals and if she wins then the Nationals in CA.  Bryan and Ann just celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary.
Tammy Ciesla’s Irish Red and White Setter, Brosna is a Canadian and American Champion in the show ring.
Rich Fritz has a new job as Assistant Administrator at the St. Joseph Kervick Residence Group Home.  He and Kristin are divorced.  Their children are Jordan 16, Ethan 13, and Emily 8.
Ted Goodell’s son Ben age 13 won national attention with his school science fair project - proving that deflategate was weather related.  Ted is still a Beverly Police Officer and he and Eileen have two other children: Grace 15 and Nora 9.
Keith and Kelly Kinkead celebrated their twentieth wedding anniversary last year.  Their youngest son Gavin has been accepted at the Univ. of North Carolina Asheville where he will run cross country and track.  Keith is still General Manager at USA Insulation in Raleigh. 
Mark Martin is Manager of Bed, Bath and Beyond at Patriot Place right across from Gillette Stadium in Foxboro.
Ed McCann is Senior Project Manager at Clune Construction in New York City.
Ralph Preston is still teaching skiing, Virginia supervises the all-day kids program, Leon 16 and Forrest 13 are instructors and 5 year old Tarren skis at Webbski.  Ralph and Leon are planning to hike the Wonderland Trail around Mt. Rainier this summer.  Ralph volunteers with the US Forest Service Gofford Pinchot NFS and the Washington Alpine Club.
Ed Pyznar has retired as a CT Conservation Officer and is hoping to get into teaching.  His son Matthew made Eagle Scout last year and now is a freshman at Itaca College.
Ross Scrocca is a US Forest Service Timber Contracting Officer in Bend, OR.  His wife Mary is a teacher, son Josh is at Oregon State studying natural resource law enforcement and daughter Grace graduates from high school this June.
John Wimsatt retired as Major and Assistant Chief of Law Enforcement from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department in June 2017.  He will spend the summer with Cathy and the four children and going saltwater fishing.
Yasutaka “Tak” Yoneda works for large engineering company - nine years in the UK, eight years in India and now in Singapore.  He is married and has two daughters.

Maria (DePetta) and Tony (‘92)Tur both are US Fish & Wildlife Biologists, and Tony has a new position as Regional At-Risk Species Coordinator.  Maria works in the Endangered Species Program.  Their two oldest children Anthony and Natalie started college this fall and Maile started ninth grade. 
Denise Dowling is Senior Director for NTT Data.  She and 7-year-old Jace live right next to Wekiva State Park in Florida.
Wendy (Jamieson) O’Malley is moving from Alaska back to Mass as Chuck retired after 23 years in the Army.  He will be going back to college at UMass Boston to finish his biology degree along with daughter Emily who is going for a nursing degree.  Their twins Megan and Timothy are 18.  Wendy is working as a bank teller.
Carole Jean has a new job as Print and Media Advertising Consultant for the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram.
Jeff Nichols is a Fisheries Research Coordinator for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.  He and Kathy have a son Avery age 6.
Stephen and Gina Pate have become empty nesters as their daughter is at Arizona State University.  He is still a Financial Advisor at Edward Jones.
Kerri (Preble) Godfrey has moved from Alaska to Virginia as David was promoted to Captain in the Coast Guard, which is one rank below Admiral.  Kerri is a beekeeper and a member of the “Swarm Response Team”.  Their children are Liam 12 and Aylin 6.


Michelle (Belanger) Merrifield received the Maine Warden Service K-9 Search and Rescue Award of the year in April 2017.
Mary (Bradstreet) Dickinson and Arthur Dickinson were married February 14, 2017.  She is an Ed Tech in Winslow schools.

Todd Clement has a new job at Three Winds Development, a company that builds and operates entertainment venues and commercial properties.
Jenny Faison is a Volunteer on WIOX radio DJ show a World of Music.  She is working on a website for her homemade soap and tie dying business.
Heather Francis teaches Middle School English, Language Arts and Social Studies at the Edna Drinkwater School in Northport.  She is married with two children, Katy age 9 and Jimmy, age 6.
JoAnna Greenwood is an Administrative Assistant at Belfast Shade, a company which designs and makes fabric screens, tote bags, table runners and shades.  John Luft (‘92) is still a Manager at ReVision Energy in Liberty and plays in his band Electric Bonfire. Sam is in ninth grade and won championships on the varsity Camden HS mountain bike team.  Avery is in fifth grade and plays basketball and the trumpet.
Anthony Greco had a successful hip replacement in January in Baltimore, and is now home preparing to go back to work as Department Manager at Lowes in Cicero, NY.
Charlene “Sunshine” Hood has just been named Manager at Lake Saint George State Park in Liberty.  She has been manager at Lamoine State Park.
Joya Kobu is a Consulting Advisor on applied environmental sciences and English/Japanese interpretation in a law office.
Doug McMullin is now Regional Stewardship Manager for Maine Coast Heritage Trust in the Mount Desert office.
Cathy (Pelletier) Powell is Fulfillment Associate at Amazon.  Daughter Kayla is a freshman in college in Nashville, TN.
Susan (Pendleton) Boynton is a Substitute Teacher for Belfast schools.  Daughter Marylinda is in the marching and pep bands at the University of Maine.
Alicia (Philippe) Simino teaches fourth grade in Claremont, NH and Troy (‘94) runs Zacjac Forestry and land management and their older son, Zachary is working with him before going to college in the fall. Son Jacob graduates from eighth grade this spring.
Greg Pond is still an Aquatic Biologist for US EPA and Sherri (Els) is a Medical Biller for Health Plan and also works in a Nature Center.  Woody is a senior at West Virginia University and Julianna is a senior in high school.
Craig Rennie is the Inland Wetland Supervisor for the NH Dept. of Environmental Services.  He has been with the State for over 17 years.  He is a Certified Wetland Scientist and a Certified Wildlife Biologist with The Wildlife Society.  He also serves as the State’s Aquatic Resource Mitigation Site Selection Committee and the State’s River Restoration Task Force.
Gina Sawyer is a CNA in the dementia unit and Activities Assistant at Quarry Hill Retirement Community in Camden.  She has sold her carpentry business.
David Smith is still a Ranger at Acadia and this winter he has worked as an Arborist as well.  He helped gain access to an ocean cave filled with luminous moss.
Keith Tompkins is teaching environmental science at Daymar College.  He is a grandfather.
Christa Wood is a Naturalist with the Somerset (NJ) County Park Commission.


Brian Carolan is leaving Almstead and going to Bartlett Tree Experts, out of Danbury, CT.  He and Sue have a new home in Watertown.
Anthony Fusco was recognized as one of Hasbro Children’s Hospital’s “Hospital Brite Lights” for the exemplary work he does caring for people and families.  He is a Respiratory Therapist at Rhode Island Hospital.
Anna Hagigeogiou-De Chevaliere is working raising money for the local public school.
Russell Johnson has been promoted to Senior Property Manager at NAI Hiffman in Chicago. He is now in charge of sixty industrial buildings and has earned LEED Green Associate certification.  He plays dulcimer, autoharp and Native American flute in a local folk band, Prairie Wind.
Shawn and Flora Nordlund have a second son, Casey Adler born December 18, 2016.  Big brother Darien is 2.  Shawn is a Production Manager in OB Williams in Seattle, WA.
John Sahadi is still a Buyer for Trailblazer, which has changed its name to Denali.  His twins Charlie and Eli are 11.
Mike Santos is a Smuggling Interdiction & Trade Compliance Officer with the USDA and has his own business Let’s Glow.  His son Marcus is 9.
Laurie Wistner is an Outreach Advisor at Lone Star College and Robb is a Field Director for US Customs and Border Patrol Management Inspection Division.  Koby is a senior in high school planning on EMT certification at Lone Star College and Keegan is a freshman on high school in the marching band and playing water polo.


Jim Bandelin brought his two sons to Unity last summer to meet Gary Zane (‘83) and spent time with classmates Joe Saltalamachia (‘95), Peter Abello (‘95) and Jeff Thompson (‘94).  Jim is Director of Operations at Kaydon Ring and Seal, an SKF company.
Steph Barrett and Rena Rossignol were married August 8, 2016.  They had a trip to Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion and Lake Powell in November and plan a cruise in February.  Steph manages some child welfare services with Maine DHHS Child and Family Services.
Richard Bicknell will be retiring next August from his job as Supervising Ranger for the City of Palo Alto Baylands and he and Barbara will be moving to Maine.
Chris Buelow is a Restoration Ecologist for the Mass.  Dept. of Fisheries and Wildlife and Jenna (Garvey) is Librarian at Woods Memorial Library in Barre.  Their daughter Vladia is 5.
Kelly Canney is a Massage Therapist in Nevada.  Her daughter Megan will be going to college in the spring.
Jenny DeFreitas is a Beekeeper with her business Jenny D’s Bees, making products from beeswax and honey.
Larry Dvorsky has made a career change after 25 years as an Arborist and he is now Vice President of Arbor Energy, a full service heating and air conditioning company.
Karl and Elizabeth Eschholz have a son Theodore Webb born January 3, 2017.  Karl is still Manager of Muscongus Bay Aquaculture.
Richard “Grey” Gritzmacher and Wendy have a daughter Piper Grey born July 27, 2016.  Grey is an IT Analyst at Eaton Corp.
Tom Hammond is a Reverse Fund Specialist at Reverse Mortgage Funding in Charlotte, NC
Matthew Horgan is a Charge Nurse on an ambulance and is about to start grad school to become a Nurse Practitioner.
Kim (Kuntz) Gogan is Curriculum Specialist in the Mentor Program in Claremont schools and she oversees the science curriculum for the entire school district.  She has a MS and Certification in Curriculum and Instruction Administration.  She had been a Teacher at Sea in the NOAA program.
Rachel Matthews has a new job as an Environmental Quality Analyst for the EPA in Texas.  Her daughter Mikayla is 19.
Bill Robinson lives in Edmunds Township in Washington County on the Dennys River where he and his wife Teresa operate Robinson’s Cottages.  Bill is a Master Maine Guide.  During the off season he supervises the snow removal for the three international border crossings in Calais.  Teresa is a Federal Fisheries Biologist for the USDA. They have two sons, Dylan 9 and Logan 13.
Matthew Tufts is a Deputy Sheriff and K-9 Officer for Cumberland County and also Assistant Team Leader for the County Regional Swat Team.  Both daughters Lauren and Lindsay graduate from high school this year.

Mike Chavez celebrated his 19th year as a Detective with the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit last July.  In October he and Su-Ying celebrated their 11th anniversary.  Son Alexander is 6 in first grade.  Mike recently saw Matt Alpert (‘96) who is an Officer with the US Capital Police and Brian St. Pierre (‘97) who is with the MA Environmental Police.
Paul Cinquegrano was married in October 2015 to Shannon. Last summer, he went up to Unity and saw Ron Dalphonse, who is in his 20th year as a NH State Trooper.
His son went on a tour of the campus and also went fishing with John Blais (‘96).

Brandon Frontiero is Project Superintendent at Dacon Corporation.  He and Kelly just celebrated their 15th anniversary.
Dan Gambino is a professional photographer doing video production.  His daughter Lily is 8.
Kip Hemingway is the Owner Operator of his modular and mobile home repair business, making them energy efficient.
Damon and Daiva Johnston have a son Luke born October 17, 2016.  He is the Industrial Rope Access Coordinator for Ropeworks-Mistras Group and is in Alaska overseeing the rope access operations on the North Slope supporting the NDT inspection and maintenance programs for the EPA.  He still owns Access-in-Motion.
Joe Kibbin works for the Colorado Department of Transportation in Engineering.
Aaron Marden is a Lieutenant and Engineer in the Strong Fire Dept. and also works for the Town Highway Dept.  He and Jenn have two children Austin 14 and Emily 12.
Gary Miner spent four months in Clearwater National Forest in Idaho as the Forest Service Representative for Timber Sales.  While he was there he visited Little Bighorn Battlefield.
Dylan Renfrew-Webber and his classmates, Dale Black, (‘96), Art Grindle (‘96) and Todd Bowen (‘96) and their wives had their annual camping trip in August.  Dylan is a Site Foreman for Symonds Builders.


Beth Berman teaches surface design at workshops at her home, and continues to paint, sketch and work with fiber.  She is great friends with Squidge Davis.
Heidi Cornell is an EMT for Delmar-Bethlehem EMS and also the owner of Cornell’s Cat Boarding.
Ron Dalphonse is in his 20th year as a NH State Trooper.
Bob Giolito was named Employee/Officer of the Year and promoted to Lieutenant at the VT Dept. of Motor Vehicles.  His K-9 Mitch retired after 9 years.  He also leads the Killington Search and Rescue team and runs his Killington Mountain Guides.  He has completed his wilderness EMT and is working toward AMGA rock instructor certification.
Brian Lippy is planning to start a farm on the Oregon coast.  He is Owner and Producer of Highwire Digital.
Paul Miller completed another season with the Maine Natural Area Program, and now works for the Loon Echo Land Trust where he is on the Board of Directors. He plans to enroll in Unity’s new Sustainable Natural Resource Graduate program in the spring.
Howie Powell has been promoted to Assistant Superintendent at the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray.  He and the family live inside the Park.
Joseph Rentz works with the MI Department of Natural Resources, tagging bears and sturgeon.  He talks with Dave Collins (‘87) almost daily.
Dan and Andrea (Iverson) Reny spent the winter working in Taos, NM and came back to Round Pond to run their two restaurants, Muscongus Bay Lobster Company and The Anchor Restaurant.  While in NM they saw Dan Gambino (‘96), and Jen (Courville) Stagner and were hoping to see Emilie (Carpenter) Larose (‘96) and Steve Jeannotte (‘96).
Steve Sherman (‘97) was promoted to Chief of Forest Protection Bureau, NH Division of Forests and Lands.  Jess (Ruggles) is Director of the Monroe Public Library.  Daughter Emily is a freshman in high school.
Brian St. Pierre is a MA Environmental Police Officer assigned to the coastal bureau.  Before that he was a Patrolman with the Fall River Police for ten years.
Melissa (Stakun) Mason is Manager for the Girl Scouts of Green and White Mountains and Director of Outdoor Programs for the Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida.
Steve Young has been the Manager of the waterfront facilities for the town of Havre de Grace, MD for six years. He and Kristina live in a house built by Katahdin Homes.


Matt Bennett is in his 16th year at Mt. View High School teaching in the Day Treatment Program.  Daughter graduated from Maine Maritime this spring and Katelin is a junior at Mt. View.

Pete Gregson has a new job running a program management team at Charter Communications in St. Louis.  It was hard for him to leave his charter fishing trips boat business in Wisconsin.

Matt Martines is in his eighteenth year in the Navy, and his and his wife Miyuki have been married for eight years.
George Menth is back from his third combat tour in Afghanistan and is a Medic at the Thomas Moore Health Clinic at Fort Hood.

Sarah (Norway) LeBlanc is Secretary to the Principal at Seymour High School.  Michel (‘01) is in his fourteenth year as Quality Control Officer at the regional water authority.
Sean Recicar works with the Offender Reentry Program for the Burlington Community Justice Center, working with people just released from prison.
Amy Therrien is a Public Safety Dispatcher for Bristol Police Department and a volunteer Naturalist for Westmoor Park in West Hartford teaching 2nd and 4th grade classes topics ranging from Nature Adaptations to Marine Ecology.
Clinton Thompson is a Maine Marine Patrol Officer, and he works often with Chris Hilton (07), and he is training future Unity grad, Alex Hebert (‘17).  Jennifer (Fowler) (‘98) is Librarian at Lisbon High School.  They have two sons: Kaleb 12 and Collin 11.
Jamie Woods has been promoted to North American Maintenance Coordinator at Specialty Minerals.  His son Colton is a Forestry Management and Bioengineering major at University of Maine.
Sandra (Yaffe) White is in her sixteenth year at the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District and is now Senior Lab Technician.  Their project is Organics to Energy which adds food waste to the sludge digester to increase the methane used to produce electricity.  Sandi and Josh have two daughters, Hailey 6 and Chloe 4.


Jon Audet is a Transmission Lineman for Vermont Electric Power and gets to patrol over 700 miles in a helicopter.  He and Annie built their new home on 85 acres within sight of Lake Champlain.
Diana Boyd is a Nurse Case Manager for the Alaska National Guard and applying to grad school to become a Nurse Practitioner.  Her freezer is filled with salmon!
Brian Chamberlin was promoted to Lieutenant Firefighter/Paramedic at the Augusta Fire Dept. and he received the Maine EMS 2014 Excellence in EMS award for his work on the regional and state level.  He also works for Atlantic Partners EMS.
Tony DaSilva has his own business Maine Masonry Craft in Damariscotta.  
Meg (Diviney) Fearing is an In-Home Coordinator with Laura Baker Services which supports adults with developmental disabilities.
Korey Doyle is an Inventory and Quality Assurance Associate at Amazon in Fall River.  He also creates cosplay attire, armor and comiccon approved weapons as well as refinishing furniture. 
Chrissy (Hayward) Bouschor’s husband in the US Forest Service has a new job in the Chugach National Forest and they will all be moving from Washington to Alaska this spring.
Patti Kallfelz-Werts is a Wetland Scientist for VHB in South Burlington VT.  She, Zeb and seven year old Noah had a trip to Iceland in September and to the Maldives in March.
Patrick Kieran was promoted at the Bureau of Land Management in Grand Junction, CO to Fire Operations Specialist.  He has two sons: Owen 12 and Liam 8.
Roy Liard is District Fire Warden for the Mass. Dept. of Conservation and Recreation, Assistant Crew Boss with the interagency wildfire crew, and training Officer for Millville. 
Jennie Lindsay is a Clinical Social Worker at the VA Medical Center in Brockton, MA.
Brian McClelen is now Service Manager for Lawn and Garden and plumbing at Lowes.  He and Kendra have been married for five years and have a daughter Emory who is 4.
Matthew and Tiffany Munson have son Jack born March 9, 2017.  Matt is Data Manager at Black Rock Forest Consortium.
Emily (Peters) Guarino is now Director of Research Training and Data Collection at the Dolphin Research Center and Mike (‘00) is Park Manager for The Florida Keys Overseas Heritage Trail, Indian Key Historic State Park, Lignumvitae Key Botanical State Park, San Pedro Underwater Archaeological State Park and Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park.  They live in the Florida Keys.
Lindsay (Peterson) Lannan is a Legal Secretary in a dental implant company.  She and Tom have two sons: Henry 5 and Garrett 3.
Barbie (Poirier) Wilmot is a Real Estate Agent for Weichert Realtors in Blue Bell, PA.
Mayori Santiago (‘99) is a Lab Technician for Coca Cola, and has a twenty acre lot that she is converting into farm land.  She has planted fruit trees and is fixing over the barn for cows, chickens and a horse for her special needs daughter.
Korah Soll has founded a nonprofit organization Rural Aspirations Project which works with rural Maine schools to expand their educational opportunities. Eric Kormann (‘93) was a founding member.  Korah and CJ Walke (‘97), who is Farm Manager for College of the Atlantic’s Peggy Rockefeller Gardens, are living in Bar Harbor.  Their daughter Annabelle is a freshman in high school and Stella will be starting high school next year.

Andrew LeFrancois teaches biology in Derry, NH and also is a Brewery Rep for 603 Brewery. He and Jillian have a son Avery who is 2.
Jeff “Fonzie” McCabe is working for the Maine State Employees Association as Political Coordinator.  Sara (Colburn) has started graduate work at Thomas College.  She teaches in Norridgework.
David Miller is home father to Aspen age 6 and Clay age 3 while Kachina works at Athena Health.   
Wally and Kyle Opuszynski have a daughter Haley Mae born April 6, 2017.  Wally is Trail Director for the Northern Forest Canoe Trail.
Shaun Oshman has sold his business, ISupportU and has bought a 40 foot sailboat and he and Heidi Gross are going to cruise around the world.
Nicole (Shell) Pecori and John (‘98) each have new jobs - she is Operations Manager for Dunkin’ Brands and he is Account Manager for Cummins Inc.  Their twins, Allesandra and Giada are 6.
Sarah Redmond is working with Moon and Tide Seaweed to raise awareness about Maine seaweed and to build a new seaweed aquaculture industry.
Dennis Rumba is still working at ReVision Energy but is now in Sales.  He has a 3 1/2 year old son Cassidy.
Ben Short has a new job as Site Safety Officer at O’Connor Construction Management.  He is currently working on the Salem Harbor Power Plant.  He is a licensed Federal Firearms Dealer and a gunsmith specializing in custom firearms, and has started a new business “Short Tactical”.


Carl Bois has his own fishing business, Topsail Fishing out of Nantucket.
Dawn (Dickson) Bedenik is teaching on the White Mountain Apache Tribe Reservation in Whiteriver, AZ.
Jennifer Doherty is a Clinical Therapist at Hartford Healthcare.
Aimee Dorval still works at Unity as Administrative Assistant to the Facilities and Public Safety Departments.  She and Tony Avila just bought a house in Unity.  Her daughter Ella is 6 in first grade and their son Antonio is 3.
Janelle Duncan is Miami University Regionals Science Lab Operations Manager at the Hamilton campus.
Michelle Fisher is going to Nurse Midwifery School in Colorado.  She had been an RN at the Hilo Medical Center Birth Center.
Tim George is back with the National Park Service as Trails Lead at Wrangell St. Elias NP and Preserve in Alaska, the largest national park with over 13 million acres.  He is engaged to Natalie, a Helicopter Flight Medic and they are expecting a son in March.
Jen (Madigan) Reifler won the 2016 Grand Prize in the Denali photo contest.  She is a Tour bus Driver Guide at Denali National Park.
Erin Martin works at the Stratham Circle Nursery, and has her winters off to travel; this year to Hawaii and Florida.  She lives in a tiny house 8 by16 on a trailer.
Greg Murphy has a new job as Staff Scientist with EHS Support LLC.  He had been a Fisheries Biologist for PA Fish & Boat Commission.
Justin O’Connor is a Pub Owner in Portland - the King’s Head in the Old Port section.  It is English themed with upscale pub food and craft beer.
Daniel and Gabrielle Rock have a son Ember Muir born in 2016.  Dan teaches science and special education in Santa Fe (NM) Public Schools.
Matt Shove is a Certified Rock Instructor, and owner of Ragged Mountain Guides.   He spends summers with the Jackson Hole Mountain Guides.
Amanda Swift is an Elementary School Art Teacher in Washington, DC.  She has a second son Zayd born in February, 2017.  Khaleel is 6.
Tom Simononis is working for a construction company in Sullivan County, PA.
Greg Wilson is still maintaining the ski lifts at Alta and Maura (Olivos) (‘02) is Sustainability Coordinator at Alta Environmental Center.  They had an amazing trip to Spain last year.
Matt Young has a new position with the Maine DEP - he is now Manager for Landfill Closure and Rehabilitation.


Michael Bernier is a Lobster Fisherman and will start fishing with his own boat this spring.  He is divorced and remarried, and now has 5 kids - Jordan 18,William 14, Maximus 11, Brynna 6 and Peyton 2.
Keith and Lindsay Brennan have a son Ryan born August 20, 2015.  Emma is 5 and Tenley is 4.  Keith is a Salem MA Fireman and drives a CDL truck for Regal Fuels.
Craig Cavanna is a Refuge Officers at the Chasshowitzka Refuge Complex in Florida, and was in charge of one and Safety Officer of the other manatee rescues from a ditch and a golf course. 
Nate Davis is a Manager at Carbonite and owner and operator of PC Wizardry Computer Solutions.  He and Meghan are expecting this summer.
Glenn Durham is Manager at Sears Auto in Springfield, MA, and Katie is a licensed Occupational Therapist at Baystate Noble.  They have two daughters, Emily age 6 and Grace age 2.
Corey Goodrich is a New York State Correction Officer and Marcia (Lapan) is a New York State Environmental Conservation Officer.

Lori (Stein) Scory is Director of Operations at IsupportU and Justin works at Cottonwood Custom Builders.  They see Tim and Laura Martel (‘08) and their two girls often and Lori is in touch daily with Alissa (Crowley) Sainsbury (‘01).
Greg Shedd is now a Forest Service Wildlife Biologist in Wyoming.  On weekends he does goat packing.

Steve and Erin (Twombley) (‘04) Agius have a second daughter Magdalen Lillo born October 5, 2016.  Waverly is four.  Steve has a new job as Manager of the Nulhegan Basin Refuge, part of the Silvio Conte National Wildlife Refuge in Brunswick, VT.
Shawn Devlin received the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography’s 2017 Raymond L. Lindeman Award which honors a young scientist for an outstanding peer-reviewed English-language paper in the aquatic sciences.  Shawn is an Assistant Research Professor at the University of Montana Flathead Lake Biological Station.  
Danielle (Dyer) and Thomas Tetreau have a second son Calvin Dyer born March 11, 2017.  Thomas VI is 3.  Danielle is a Wetland Scientist for Stantec Consulting, and was at the Career Fair in February.
Ted Frazer has a new job as Assistant Fire Management Officer for the Kings Hill Fire Zone on the Helena Lewis and Clark National Forest. He and Jennifer (Nagy) have two daughters Eleanor 6 and Lucy 1.
Stephanie (Hanwell) Theobald is a NY State Wildlife Rehabilitator and this winter is overwintering a snapping turtle.  She is also a figure skating coach.  Steph and Nathan have a son Oliver age 3, and are expecting another child this summer.
Rob and Raquel (Ross) (‘02) Goodrich have a second daughter, Hadley Elizabeth born March 29, 2017.  Kylie is 6.  Rob works for Homeland Security and Raquel is Director of Digital Communications for National Institute for Civil Discourse.
Romilly (Harrison) Gardner is now in Texas teaching fifth grade in the Timber Ridge Elementary School in Killeen.  She and Jason have a daughter Lexi who is two.
Brett Irving is Purchasing Manager at Revision Energy.  He and Jennifer have two sons, Eli 8 and Balin 3.
Shawn Jeanson has resigned from the NE Marine Patrol and is a Land Surveyor full time.  He and Nicole have two children: Kaylee 5 and Aiden 2.

Heather (Baker) Weller celebrated her tenth year as GIS Specialist for Washington County, NY and her fifth wedding anniversary with Tyson.  She’s running in a Ragner, a PA 200 mile relay race over two days in June.
Nathan Bodge is Technical Services Manager at Bath Water District handling GIS mapping of the water system as well as watershed management.
Chris Brison is a Conservation Officer for NH Fish and Game and Michele (Safari) is a Wildlife Control Officer for her Wisdom Wildlife Service.
Christy (Charters) Kervin is Assistant Principal at North Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend, MA.  Jeremy (‘05) is a MA Corrections Officer. They have two children: Emma 6 and Jack 3.
Brian Curtis and Chloe Roy were married August 13, 2016.  Brian is a Maine Guide at South Branch Lake Camps.
Colin Fraser is still running Fraser Development and coaching his son’s baseball team.  Andria teaches economics at Eastern Conn. State University.  They have three children: Zion 12, Exelia 5, and Irie Rose 1 1/2.
Sonya (Harrington) Purington is Director of Marketing and Communications for Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Kyle (‘03) is Project/Operations Manager for Wireless Construction.  They have three sons: Abe 11, Wyatt 7 and Everett 3. 
Harrison Hauser is Site Maintenance Supervisor for TransCanada wind power site in Chain of Ponds, ME.
Emily (Jones) McCabe’s husband Kris was named Maine’s Warden of the Year in April, 2017.  He is also a star on “North Woods Lew”.  Emily is a Public Relations Representative for the Maine Dept. of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife and also has her own photography business.
Bryan Rafferty was officially dubbed the voice of USA Climbing as the announcer for both Bouldering and Rope Climbing Nationals as well as the World Cup of Climbing held in Vail, CO.  He is the Membership Coordinator of the American Alpine Club.
Tim Welch is a Wildlife Research Biologist for BioDiversity Research Institute, working with sea ducks from New York to Maine, loons from Mass.to Maine and fisheries studies in Maine.
Jessica (Welsh) Hamernik and Scott have a second son, Oliver born February 14, 2016, Sebastian is 2 1/2.  Jess teaches second grade in Medina Ohio schools.


Brett Bowser was one of 43 US Fish and Wildlife Officers honored by Ducks Unlimited for their conservation easement success working with private landowners to protect natural habitat.  Brett was promoted and works at a Minnesota Wetlands Management District.  He and Jessica have a son Briar age 3, and are expecting another child in August, 2017.
Colleen Corey and Benito Rodriguez have a son Dante, born September 18, 2016.  She is Assistant Vivarium Supervisor at the University of Virginia, in charge of breeding germ free mice.
Mike and Brianna David are back in Maine and Mike is working for Waldo CAP as the weatherization specialist in the housing department.  Brianna works for the Social Security Administration.
Wesley Dean has been promoted to Sergeant in the Maine Marine Patrol.
John Dumais is Assistant Manager of Casco State Fish Hatchery.
Shawn Guilmette was promoted to Supervisory Law Enforcement Specialist at the Law Enforcement Support Center in Williston, VT. 
Patty (Marcum) Christinat is General Manager of Infinity Music Hall & Bistro and teaches skiing at Butternut.  She plans to get back to Timbersports this summer.  Ed is a Tree Specialist at Nature’s Own Tree Specialists.  Their daughter Cora is 2.
Darrell Pardoe is General Foreman at Wright Tree Service.  He has two children, Rebekah 6 and Caleb 3.
Scott Mead has a new position in Internal Audit with the same insurance company. 
Kailyn (Medeiros) Shippee and Ian have a son Bowen Foster born October 6, 2016.  Matilda is 4.  Kailyn has started her own online natural baby gear company, Squigglybugs.

Kris and Sarah Sanborn have daughter Lola born April 5, 2015.  Big brother Miles is 7, in first grade playing soccer and chess.  Kris is now Director of Family Services and Mental Health at Accelerator YMCA in Seattle.  Sarah is the Director of Research & Evaluation for King County Housing Authority.
Randy Smith has started his own business, Rocky Hill Farm & Adventures, offering local permaculture, adventures and sustainable entrepreneurship.  Randy is four credits away from his MS in Adventure Education from Prescott College.

Rufus Faggons will graduate in May 2017 from Tulane University with a MS in Global Development, and start work on a Master’s in Public Health-Global Health Policy.  He is married and has a one year old son Charles.
Jeff Hunter has received the Rookie of the Year Award for the Southwest Virginia Mountain Rescue Group.  He is a NPS Law Enforcement Ranger at Blue Ridge Parkway National Park.
Mary Jewett has added Milfoil Coordinator to her duties as Teacher/Naturalist at the Lakes Environmental Association in Bridgton.
Kyle Koch has been promoted to Habitat Restoration Coordinator at Skagit Fisheries.  His big climb this year was Mount Shuksan, and he was elected Vice President of the Skagit Alpine Club.
Paul Korenkiewicz graduated from Criminal Justice Academy this spring and is now a Maine State Correctional Officer.
Zachary Lehmann has a new job as Senior Environmental Scientist at HDR Architecture.
Isaiah Onorato is working on becoming a Special Ed Teacher and is a junior high baseball coach and a JV soccer coach at Bristol school.  He also has a wood pellet business.
Matt and Melissa Pawlikowsi have a son, Zachary Alan born December 23, 2016.  Emily Ann is 1 1/2.  They have moved from California to Arkansas where Matt is a Timber Sale Administrator for the US Forest Service.

Matt Wyman was named Northeast Conservation Law Enforcement Officer of the Year in April, 2017.  He is a Marine Patrol Officer for the Maine Department of Marine Resources.

Sara Blocker is the Hydrologist for the Klamath Tribes in Oregon.  She monitors the tribal instream water rights, develops rating curves, and works with state and federal agencies using fancy acoustic equipment.
Nick and Amy Lynn Branning have a daughter Molly almost 2.  Nick works for Norfolk Southern Railroad, after eight years as a construction Equipment Operator.

Angela (Ebert) Kolewe left the Wildlife Services in September and is now Manager, Children’s classes Teacher and Personal Fitness Trainer at Atlas Jiu Jitsu.
Catherine “KT” Haase has started her Postdoc at Montana State University, modeling the bioenergetics effects of white-nose syndrome in bats and predicting the impacts of climate change in the western US.
Justin Hart is now working for a commercial real estate company, SVN Miller.  He has given up fishing full time and now only fishes in tournaments.
Greg Hodsdon and Molly West (‘10) were married August 20, 2016 Greg has started his own waterfowl and fishing guide service “Heads or Tails Guide Service” in south Texas.  Molly is a Pediatric Nurse. They are living just outside of Corpus Christi.
Ryan Howes was the first person to run the new 46 mile Hills to Sea Trail - from Unity to Belfast.  Ryan is a health and wellness coach and owns and operates Northern Vertical, a rock and ice climbing and mountaineering guide service in Belfast.
Michael Kinson has a new job with the NH Department of Transportation.  He and Irene have a daughter born in 2015.

Ben Turati is a US Forest Service Pre-Sale Lead in the timber department at Umpqua National Forest in Glide, OR  At a training session in Washington,  he met up with two Forest Service alumni, Ross Scrocca (‘91) and Matt Pawlikowski (‘06).

Jesse Currie is a VT licensed Forester conducting GIS mapping for recreational trails and trails for loggers and writing Use Value Appraisal plans for state approval.  His wife Brittany is the Business Manager for Hardwick, VT and their daughter Kaydence is 2.
Jared Erskine is a registered Maine Sea Kayak Guide out of Bar Harbor and works part-time at Acadia Bike.  He is planning a trip out west for the winter.
Loretta (Fitzmaurice) Livingstone and Brian were married March 3, 2017 and plan their formal wedding for August 25, 2018.  Loretta is disabled from fibromyalgia and back discs.  She volunteers for the Solon Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Claire Formanski is a Law Enforcement Ranger at Fire Island National Seashore, and completed her FLETC and FTEP training in May 2015.  She and boyfriend and two dogs and cat recently moved to Oceanside, NY

Alex Johnston was awarded State Boating Law Enforcement Officer of the Year by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators.  He is a CT Conservation Officer.

Erica Huber works for a county weed and pest group and also with an organization called Wyoming Disabled Hunters.  They assist people with disabilities to hunt for antelope, mule deer and elk in northwestern Wyoming.

Kurt Karlsson has worked for the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office for six years and is Classification Officer.  He was at the Career Fair in February.
Erik Larson has a new position as Assistant Professor of Earth Science at Moravian College. He has a PhD from Mississippi State in Earth and Atmospheric Science and was previously an Assistant Professor of Geology at Shawnee State University.
Allison Masson is a National Park Service Seasonal Visitor Use Assistant.  She worked at Acadia summer 2015 and at North Cascades NP in WA summer 2016.  Before that she was at Denali in Alaska.
Ashley McCorkindale and Zach Klabe (‘12) are running their Howling Goat Farm in Canton, with Nigerian Dwarf goats, Jacobs’s sheep, pigs, rabbits and chickens and a one acre garden.  Ashley is also a part-time nanny and Zach works for the TSA at the Augusta Airport.  They plan to marry September 8, 2017.
Nate Miller is in his tenth year working for Hurricane Island Outward Bound School where he is Lead Instructor and Course Director.  In the winter he is Head Logistics Coordinator at the Florida Sea Program.
Justin Over is a Police Officer with the Lowell Police Department.  He had worked for the Essex County Sheriff’s Department.
Derek Patry is a Professional Forester, working part time at York Land Services and is a full time Firefighter in Berlin, NH.  He also works at the family business, Patry’s Sugar House.  He and Alicia have a daughter Alivia age 6 and a son Sawyer age 2

Cheryl Curtis is a Vet Tech at a small animal practice, mainly in surgery.  She also does dental cleanings on cats and dogs, and takes care of hospitalized patients. 
Cody Floyd was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in January, received a VAD (ventricle assist device) in March and is now awaiting a heart transplant.

Justin George has started a new career at Hinckley Yacht Company as a Varnisher.  He and Jessica have two children: Caleb 3 and Kylie 1.
Trevanion Grenfell and Trevanna started and are co-directors of Northwood Natural Learning.  He is also a finish carpenter.

Anthony Ryan is a Wildlife Biologist for his own company Biocon2 and also for Vernadero Group and Western Ecosystems Technology.
Lacie Scheuer is an Advanced EMT for Golden Cross Ambulance.
Clover Street is founder and head trainer of MarathonK9 Academy in Colorado Springs.  He trains dogs for family protection and works with local law enforcement canines.  This summer he will be traveling all over the country hosting seminars for law enforcement.
Kyle and Kali Vorpagel have a daughter Tillie Teresa Faye born March 11, 2017.  Kyle is a Mechanical Logger in Fayette.

Amy Burgess has a new job as a Maine Forest Ranger in the Bridgton area.
Lindsay Certain is working with Marine Mammals of Maine, doing seal rescues, rehabilitation and release.  They work closely with the Mystic Aquarium in Conn.
Rachel Crane is a Scuba Instructor and Boat Captain in Key Largo, FL.  She is also Training Coordinator for Diveheart, a program that takes children, adults and veterans with disabilities scuba diving. For the past two summers she has been the Operations Manager for Glacier Bay Lodge and Tours.
Andrew Eldridge is an Animal Attendant at the University of Minnesota Cancer and Cardiovascular Research Department, while his significant other is working on a PhD on Geology.
Tyler Ferrick is Project Manager and Environmental Scientist at DeRosa Environmental Consulting.

Chad Pin has a new job as Foreman at Northern Tree Service in Palmer, MA.
Scott Rollins is Regional Operations Manager for Arizona Labor Force, a staffing company for construction.  He manages all of northern AZ.  Scott and Kassi, a Speech Pathologist were married March 27, 2015.
Bri (Rudinsky) Benvenuti is a Biologist for the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge and is also studying for her Masters at the University of New Hampshire.  She and Jim (‘11), who is a Conservation Officer for NH Fish and Game were both at the Career fair in February.

Kaitlyn Wiktor is now Lead Keeper in the elephant department at Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium in Omaha. She is also Vice Chair of the Behavioral Husbandry Committee for the American Association of Zookeepers.
Michelle Wood is still in New Zealand, apprenticing in a bread bakery.


Kellie Adkins has been promoted to Manager of Outdoor Recreation at the Fort Wayne, IN Parks and Recreation Department.
Christine Barnes works at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.  She and her boyfriend live in Acton with his daughter, two dogs, two goats, a pig, a rabbit, two ducks, seven hens and a rooster.
Marsha Barnes received her Master’s in Environmental Management and Sustainability from St. Edwards University in December.  In January she begins her job as a Wildlife Biologist for US Fish & Wildlife at Litchfield Wetland Management District in Minn. 
Paige Blaker has a new job as Fish Culturist at Dan Speas Fish Hatchery in Bessemer Bend, WY.
Cameron Harkin is a full time student in a Master’s program to become a Physician’s Assistant.  She was a combat Army Medic.
Hope Kanarvogel is Law Enforcement and Recruitment Coordinator for Vermont Fish and Wildlife.
Kiera Kirschner is teaching preschool and will be working on an MA in Education online through Western Governor’s University.  She will also be taking Montessori training during the next summer.  She and George moved to Montana several years ago.
Dan Martin is a Fish Tech in the summer and a wildlife tech in the winter for Turner Enterprises in Bozeman, MT.
Jennifer Moran is a Biological Scientist for Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, collecting data on freshwater fisheries.
Annastasia Parks returned in August from two years teaching in Zambia and in February she was off to South Korea to teach for a year.

Carly Chapman has a new job at Hometown Veterinary Care in Fairfield.  She and her boyfriend Tim have just purchased a home in Madison.

Lucero Torres has a full time job as Park Ranger for the City of Aurora, CO.  She received her Master’s in Biological Science from the University of Northern Colorado in May 2016.

Kaitlyn Nafziger finished her job with the San Diego Zoo’s Institute for Conservation Research on the least tern and snowy plover project and is now working as a Hunter Survey Technician for Nebraska Game and Parks and Univ. of Nebraska’s Wildlife Research Coop Unit.

Mariana Rivera-Rodriguez is again working on the Prairie Project doing photography, videography and data collection for the Environmental Science Appalachian Laboratory in Valles Caldera National Preserve in Jemez Springs, NM.  Earlier she worked as an Educator at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden.

Elizabeth Whitney is a Graduate Assistant at the University of Rhode Island Preisser Lab.  Her thesis on Insect Plant Interactions on Eastern Hemlock will be sent for publication this summer and she will be defending in Fall 2017 or Spring 2018.
Nathan and Sarah Williams have a son Kyle born November 2, 2016.  Daughters Cameron and Mackenzie are 4 and 2.  Nate was just named Top Recruiter in Maine for the State of Maine.  He is a Sergeant First Class in the Maine National Guard.

Daniel Hill worked for Maine Department of Parks and now he is working with the New England Cottontail GIS Project for the state of CT DEP.  He hopes to start graduate school in the fall of 2017.
Sylvana Jaramillo has been traveling since graduation - 11 countries and 18 cities.  She is now working for a disaster relief company Tetra Tech as Field Supervisor cleaning up after Hurricane Matthew in South Carolina.
John Karyczak was Unity’s first Online Graduate Concierge created to help market the graduate program and help develop a graduate handbook.  In September he left for Ukraine, where his mother is from, and plans to be there for three months, visiting relatives and doing research on Ukraine political systems.  He plans on grad school the fall of 2017 for a Masters in economic, political legal philosophy.

Alex Prestera is an Algae and Shellfish Technician for Ballard Fish & Oyster’s Cherrystone Aqua farm in VA.  They raise clams and oysters for consumption.  In November she and Jesse May (‘15) plan a cross-country road trip for surfing, photography and camping in as many National Parks as they can.
Taylor Reynolds graduated from Criminal Justice Academy in December.  He is a National Guard Military Policeman.
Patricia Skibko is a Fish and Wildlife Technician for the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission.

David Moses Bridges (1985) - died January 20, 2017 from cancer.  He was famous for his Passamaquoddy birch bark canoes and baskets. He was in the Board of Directors of the Abbe Museum and was named a Traditional Arts Fellow by the Maine Arts Commission, their highest honor.  He is survived by his wife and three children.
Andis Busmanis (1981) died November 3, 2016 due to cancer.  He was a master carpenter and outdoorsman.  He is survived by his wife Karla, and children and grandchildren.
Joe Cooper (1974) died July 19, 2016.  He was the State Adjutant of the Sons of American Legion.
Mark Foley (1971) died April 5, 2017.  He was the retired Director of Foley Funeral Home in Winterport.  He is survived by his wife, children Jonathan and Julianne and grandchildren
John Fox (2017) died December 1, 2016.  He was a Volunteer with the Maine Adaptive Ski Program and with the Unity Barn Raisers.  He is survived by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Miranda MacFadzen (2013) died October 28, 2016 from injuries from an automobile accident.  She was employed as an Agricultural Engineer for Firefly Farms.  She is survived by her parents, finance and siblings.
Keith “The Duke” Richards (1973) died March 3, 2017 from cancer.  He had been a sheet metal worker.
Conrad Rollins (2002) died February 2, 2015.  He was a Master Maine Guide.  He is survived by his parents, a son and a daughter and two sisters.
Sue Gawler, former Biology Professor, died August 21, 2015
Leroy Trull, longtime Maintenance and Security Staff, died December 23, 2016.
