Participants will learn basic methods of the shaman to enter non-ordinary reality, a realm otherwise known mainly through myth and dream. Aided by traditional drumming techniques, we will journey to discover power animals, spiritual teachers and obtain knowledge to foster the well-being of ourselves, others and our planet. Core shamanic methods are found on every continent and don’t rely on any one tradition’s sacred rituals. Small class size allows for individualized attention as you learn these shamanic skills.
Bring a bandanna or scarf for an eye covering, and something to write on.
WHO WE ARE: The facilitators are Susan Bakaley Marshall, art therapist, clinical counselor and shamanic practitioner and Chris Marshall, anthropologist, shamanic practitioner and professor. They have taught shamanic practices to hundreds of people over 22 years. Both have studied with The Foundation for Shamanic Studies and Susan is a graduate of their advanced shamanic healing training program with Dr. Michael Harner, author of The Way of the Shaman.
