Judy Williams

Academic Background

Judy Williams, the director of the Writing Center, grew up in Aroostook County, attended the University of Maine as an undergraduate and graduate student, and now lives in Belfast. After receiving her B.S. in Elementary Education, she got her Masters degree in English and has taught college English for the past ten years. She was the director of Husson College’s Writing Center before coming to Unity. She has worked as a freelance journalist and book reviewer. Her master’s thesis was a collection of linked short stories, and she has written a novel for middle-school children. Currently, she enjoys writing poetry, especially poems that connect emotion to the natural world.
