Kathryn Miles is an award-winning writer whose recent work has appeared in publications including Best American Essays, The Bioregional Imagination, Ecotone, and Between Song and Story: New Directions in Creative Nonfiction. She is a contributing columnist for Terrain.org and is also the author of Adventures with Ari: A Puppy, A Leash, and Our Year Outdoors (Skyhorse/W.W. Norton, 2009). At Unity College, she edits Hawk & Handsaw: The Journal of Creative Sustainability and teaches a variety of classes in creative nonfiction and environmental writing. Outside of class, you can usually find her on a sailboat or at the ski slopes.
