 Objectives:

*      To increase our hands on experiences and gain additional knowledge of working with captive animals

*      To educate on environmental issues

*      To provide a staffing resource for community members

 

What We Have Done This Year:

Spooktacular – fall ‘06

 

 

Oiled Wildlife Training – fall ‘06

 

 

 Increasing our knowledge:

*     ReMaine Wild Rehabilitation Conference

*      Oiled Wildlife Training

*     Trip to Maine Wild Animal Park with Wildlife Society

*     Cher Lord, speaker on t-touch animal massage and experiences working in the zoological field

*      Attended 2007 career fair

*      Bottle fed FFA lambs

*      Spring trip – Roger Williams Park Zoo, April 1

 

Sharing our knowledge:

*     Volunteering at Hart to Hart Farm for school day, Winter camp

*     Campus Campaign for Wolf Awareness Week

*     Spooktacular Event (Teaching kids about “scary” animals)

*     Reading children’s stories and providing activities at local day care centers

 

Volunteering our time:

*     Trip to Maine Wild Animal Park with Wildlife Club

*      Angels Dancing With Horses – Therapeutic riding stables

 

Fundraising:

*     Halloween Bake Sale

*      50/50 raffle

*      Earth day raffle

*      Donations
