Intro to Criminal Justice
Course Objectives
This course, offered in the spring semester, introduces the general principles of criminal law including application of the rules of evidence to criminal proceedings. Overviews of English Common Law, the English legal system, the French legal system, and American statute law are given to provide an understanding of the system of thought on which our criminal justice system operates. Special attention will be given to criminal law as it relates to the conservation officer and the conservation officer's role as complainant within the legal system.
