Community-Based Learning and Internship Coordinator/ Career Services and Experiential Program
This past year Reeta has filled the role as Administrative Assistant for the Career Resource Center. Prior to this position she spent 7 years working the Unity College Development Office. A seasoned higher education professional with a track record of success in the Development Department at Unity College, Benedict most recently served as Associate Director of Annual Giving. Reeta has been directly involved a number of community organizations including Mount View Elementary school as a classroom literacy, mathematics and socialization volunteer and the local Rotary Club. She cultivated donor relationships and oversaw the stewardship of the College’s annual fund donors.
Other positions that Benedict held at Unity College were Annual Fund Officer; Annual Fund Assistant; and Office Coordinator for the Office of College Advancement. An engaged member of the Unity area community, Benedict is a member of the Unity Area Rotary Club, Association for Fundraising Professionals, and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). She previously served as Secretary to the Unity College Capital Campaign Steering Committee; Secretary to the Unity College Development Committee; and as Staff Elected Representative to the Unity College Community Council. While Benedict’s experience in fundraising will be a huge asset to the Community-Based Learning office she will continue carry on the vision of community-based learning namely the focus of working with faculty to create meaningful learning experiences for students. Benedict holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management with a Supervisory Concentration from Western Connecticut State University of Danbury, Connecticut.
