Student Life

Come home to Unity College, where you’re never a stranger, we all look out for each other —and there is ALWAYS something to do.

Unity College Student Life Sustainability ScienceBecome Part of Something Great

There is more to the college experience than the learning that takes place in the classroom and the field. Where you live, the activities available, the special connections you can make and our friendly and welcoming culture all make Unity College a great place to learn and live.

There are plenty of opportunities to socialize and appreciate the people in your life. Experience a performance at the UCCPA, our performing arts center, for example. There are just as many ways to enjoy the quiet beauty of nature. Rent kayaks and camping gear from our Outdoor Adventure Center. Access miles of trails from your doorstep that are part of the college and town trail systems. Play tennis or shoot some hoops at the Field of Dreams.

Unity’s intercollegiate teams—go Rams!—compete in basketball, cross country, soccer, and volleyball. Club sports include baseball, ice hockey, lacrosse, ultimate Frisbee, and Woodsmen.

With approximately 30 active clubs ranging from archery, drama, and recycling to scientific journal review, marine biology and search and rescue as well as intramurals, club sports, and intercollegiate athletics, there’s something for everyone. And if you don’t find an activity or excursion in line with your interests—just start/suggest one!

Our location in a small, rural Maine community keeps you close to the earth. The town of Unity is nationally recognized as host of the Common Ground Country Fair, a celebration of rural and sustainable living.
