Harrison Aldrich Wellness Center

The Harrison Aldrich Wellness Center is staffed by:

In addition to our health and counseling services, we also provide opportunities for a diverse group of students to participate in healthy activities.

Mondays 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m
Thursdays 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Fridays 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
 

Physician's Clinics

Physician's Clinics are held once per week at the Wellness Center, with an appointment necessary for physician treatment. Please see Anna to make an appointment.
 

Reproductive Health Clinics

Reproductive Health Clinics are held monthly (for both men and women) at the Wellness Center. The Reproductive Health Clinic services include: exams, birth control options, STD and HIV testing, and education. Please see the Anna at the Wellness Center to make an appointment.
 

Travel Health Visit

There is a lot to think about when traveling! The Wellness Center can make your trip more pleasant if it is planned properly and safely. Anna can give you current disease information, as well as the emergency care procedures and recommended immunizations for the country you are visiting. Come down for a Travel Clinic visit as soon as you know where you are going and we will start you safely on your trip.
 

Flu Shot Clinic

Flu Shot Clinics are held once a year in October—watch for announcements.
 

Counseling Services

Call 207-948-9126 to make an appointment or stop by the Health Center. All appointments are made confidentially.

Counseling Services offers confidential individual counseling, outreach, educational programming, and consultation to address the needs of the Unity College Students. Group counseling or support/special issue groups are available by request. Counseling Services are offered free of charge to all Unity College students.

The counseling relationship is completely confidential within the legal and professional guidelines for the state of Maine. No information that you share with the counselor can be released without your consent. An exception to this is if there is a threat to your safety or someone else's safety.

Counseling Services hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Drop by or phone ahead for an appointment (207-948-9126).
 

After Hours Emergencies

Counseling Services recognizes that students sometimes find themselves or friends in immediate need of help at times when Counseling Services is closed. In the event of an emergency, please try the following:
  • The counselor is often available during "off" hours. To reach her, you can contact your R.A., Director of Residence Life (Stephen Nason page 821-1567), or Public Safety (948-9232).
  • You may also contact the Waldo County 24 hour Crisis Service at 1-888-568-1112 to speak with a counselor via telephone.
