Textbook Buyback

Buyback is scheduled during finals week at the end of fall and spring semesters.

Selling your books...

Students who have books they no longer need may use the bookstore’s textbook recycling buyback program.  Books from Unity’s buyback may be re-used at Unity or at other campuses across the country.
At our end of semester buyback in May & December, the college will pay approximately 50% of the current price of a book if the book:

  • Is a required text for a class next semester.
  • Is needed to fill next term’s enrollment.
  • Is in resalable condition.

For books not needed here on campus the bookstore acts as an agent for several used book wholesalers during our end of semester buybacks.  This is a service we provide so students can sell their books even if we can’t buy them at the higher bookstore price.  The prices paid for used books by the wholesalers are set by them and average 10% to 33% of the price of a book if purchased new.

Buyback for the Spring 2011 semester will be
Friday, April 29 and Monday, May 2-Thursday, May 5.
