We look forward to your visit to Unity College on July 11, 2014.

Against a background of rolling hills, Unity Pond, Sandy Stream, and with a view of the New Hampshire White Mountains in the distance, we invite you to come learn all about Unity College. You’ll meet our president, gain an understanding of our five Centers for Academic Excellence and their corresponding majors, and also learn about Unity’s unique focus of providing a liberal arts education through the framework of sustainability science, emphasizing the environment and natural resources.

We’ll end the day with a typical Maine lobster bake, including scrumptious blueberry cake for dessert.

Your family is welcome to attend the entire afternoon of activities and stay free of charge with you in our residence halls any time between the evening of Thursday, July 10 and the check out time of before noon on Sunday, July 13. Visitors will enjoy the surrounding area from the mountains to the ocean, and much of the beautiful scenery and activities that Maine has to offer.

Friday, July 11 - noon to 4:00 pm:

Picnic lunch included with program
Welcome: President Stephen Mulkey, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Michael Evans, and Executive Vice President and Liasion to the Board of Trustees Melik Khoury.
Panel: A brief overview of the five Centers for Academic Excellence, Academic Majors, Student Activities, Clubs and Facilities.
Activities: Choose from a variety of interactive activities for counselors and their families including workshops on adventure therapy, bear study, and sustainable farming, as well as tours of the coral lab, animal barn, media library, and more.

Friday, July 11 - evening:

Unity College Lobster Bake ($15 fee for each attendee)

Thursday, July 10 - Saturday, July 12:

Counselors who attend the program and tour may stay at Unity College free of charge with their families and enjoy the area offerings on Saturday and Sunday. Area activity listings will be offered, such as the Unity Trail system, the Rockland Blues Festival, the Colby College Museum, Belfast River Tours, etc.

Please make reservations for the program and housing by accessing our event form. Note that we have limited on-campus, overnight facilities. Registration for overnight lodging will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and only available to those who attend the July 11 afternoon program.
