Frequently Asked Questions
Below is a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) regarding tuition, financial aid, and billing for incoming and current students.
I have my own insurance and don’t want to be billed. What do I have to do?
You are required to have health insurance coverage, therefore the annual premium is noted on your tuition statement. You must either waive or confirm your enrollment by logging into your CAMS student portal. Under “Administration Services” you will find the “Student Health Insurance” link.
I am receiving scholarships. Why aren’t they listed on my bill?
Outside scholarship will not appear on a student’s bill until the funds have been received by the school. You must provide adequate documentation of any outside scholarships received to the financial aid department. You may deduct the amount of a scholarship from the amount due. Please note, if the scholarship is not paid out until the Spring semester you will NOT be able to deduct it for Fall.
I just found out that I am getting a scholarship. What should I do?
Mail, scan, and e-mail, or fax copies of any scholarships to Jeri Roberts, Director of Student Accounts: 207-509-7261.
I have an adjustment in my financial aid award. Do I wait for a new bill?
No, updated billing statements are mailed out once per term. You can find the adjusted amount due on your student portal under “Billing and Payments”. It will be listed as “Overall Balance”.
What is the date tuition must be paid?
- July 15 – Fall Tuition Payment Due for Freshman or Transfer Students
- August 1 – Fall Tuition Payment Due for Returning Students
- December 15 – Spring Tuition Payment Due for All Students
I just made a payment and I don’t see it listed on my ledger yet. Why not?
It can take 24 to 48 hours after a payment is made before it will post to your student account. Payments made via check can take a little longer to clear.
I have an additional student loan but they won’t disburse funds until after July 15th (incoming) or August 1 (returning). Can I still enroll?
As long as we have the approval by the due dates the account will be considered cleared for enrollment.
How much is due by the deadline?
You can find the amount due under “Billing and Payments” on your student portal. It will be listed as “Overall Balance”.
Can I pay my bill online?
Yes, visit www.unity.edu/payments.
Can I pay my bill over the Phone?
No, we do not have secured lines and therefore can’t take this information over the phone.
When do I start my payment plan?
Open enrollment begins April 15 for Fall payment plans. Open enrollment for Spring plans begins November 15. Visit unity.edu/payment-plans for more information.
Where do I find my Student ID?
It is located in the upper right-hand corner of your statement and on the top left corner of your student portal.
Once I deposit when will I be billed?
1 to 2 weeks after your deposit has been received by Unity College.
I am not doing my Nova Orientation until later. Why am I being billed now?
All students are billed for Nova Orientation in their first semester of enrollment regardless of when the Nova trip is completed.
