Dear Green Mountain College Students and Families,

The announcement that Green Mountain College will be closing in May is troubling to everyone who is invested in educating the environmental leaders of tomorrow. Unity College has been a long-standing partner of Green Mountain, and we have made many connections with the scholars and athletes over the years. President Allen’s letter to the campus community emphasized that the Green Mountain spirit will live on in its students. We couldn’t agree more.

Unity College believes that the future of the Earth will be influenced by the leaders we are educating today and we want to help you become that leader. Unity College has emerged as a leader in educational innovation while remaining firmly grounded in sound financial principles.

Based on our strong environmental mission, all academic programs – undergraduate, graduate, residential, and online – are rigorous, environmentally-focused, and fully accredited through the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). These successful programs are led by faculty who are scholars and expert practitioners that will help guide you to a successful career.

In the coming days and weeks, we will be reaching out to current Green Mountain students to communicate the ways that Unity College can help you complete your degree and become the environmental steward that our Earth needs so urgently.  A team from Unity College will visit Poultney, VT on February 6th to meet one-on-one with students. Other members of our team are at the ready to answer questions about programs of study, financial aid, and a variety of options including on-campus and online programs to complete your degree.

We have established a special agreement with Green Mountain College that allows students to complete their degree either on-campus or online in a timely and affordable way.  This agreement that is exclusive to currently enrolled Green Mountain students in good standing. Here is a visual representation of what Unity College stands for: the environment, the future, and you.

In Unity,
