Raised in Maine, Adam began his work in outdoor experiential education in the Western states while attending college in California. Over the past thirteen years Adam has worked with thousands of students over hundreds of days in remote wilderness settings in North, Central, and South America. In 2016 Adam earned his M.S. in Outdoor Education from the University of New Hampshire where he taught undergraduate courses in backpacking and canoe touring as an Adjunct Instructor. Currently Adam works as the Assistant Director of Unity College’s Outdoor Adventure Center and as an Instructor in the Adventure Based Environmental Education Major. He is a licensed EMT in the State of Maine and a certified Wilderness First Responder as well as an Assistant Instructor for Wilderness Medical Associates and an American Red Cross Disaster Responder. Adam is a certified River Canoe Instructor with the American Canoe Association and is a licensed Maine Sea Kayak Guide.
