Chris Ouellette, Assistant Director of Admissions, was born and raised in Maine. He attended the University of New England and graduated with a degree in sports management and business. Chris was a three-year member of the basketball team and served as co-captain his senior season. He received his Master’s degree in Health and Human Performance from Fort Hays State in Kansas, before returning to Maine in 2015. Chris spent his first three years at Unity College as Student Activities and Resident Director, before moving into his role in admissions.
Chris decided to pursue an admissions position because he wanted to help high school students in the pursuit of their goals and help them make their dreams a reality. His goal is to get to know the student and their family and give them relevant information so that they are able to make the right choice for their future.
One of his favorite parts of Unity College is the student community. At Unity, the students are respectful, understanding, insightful, and supportive. He contributes a lot of these qualities to the fact that Unity College students have a desire to be environmental stewards and global citizens.
His recruiting area includes Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maine, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Texas and Vermont.
Chris is an avid sports fan, always cheering on Boston professional teams, with the Celtics being his favorite team. He also assists with the Unity College men’s basketball team. When not at work, he loves spending time with his young son, Kyrie, 2, and his shepherd/husky mix, Beatrix.
