The event is sponsored by The Maine Association of Conservation Districts, Envirothon Committee, and Unity College, in cooperation with The Maine Forest Service. During the workshop, The Maine Forest Service provides in-depth instruction in Tree ID, Map and Compass and Silviculture. Wildlife professionals provide hands-on instruction to prepare students for the Wildlife Station which includes Pelt and Track ID as well as habitat identification and diversity. The March workshop also gives advisors a chance to learn more about the current issue topic and problem statement, and to meet with the lead current issue judges.
